Ann Romney

Emergency Landing

Fire in the Cockpit

breaking news

Ann Romney's plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Colorado moments ago ... after a fire broke out in the cockpit and the cabin filled with smoke.

According to a Romney spokesperson, the plane landed safely and no one onboard suffered any injuries.

The rep posted a statement on Twitter saying, "All okay. Thank goodness."

Upon arrival, the fire department rushed to the plane in an effort to find the source of the smoke.  A spokesperson for the Denver Fire Dept. said the smoke came from a "small fire in the cockpit."

The plane was heading from Omaha to Los Angeles.

Mitt Romney was not onboard the plane, he was in Nevada during the mid-air emergency ... where he was appearing at a fundraiser.

THANK GOD NO ONE WAS HURT! That being said, someone questioned her about never having to "go to work" as many millions do. She answered by saying she "worked very hard raising five boys." I am sure they were, at times, a handful. How can anyone compare enormous wealth, servants, maids, mothers, especially single mothers who get up at 5AM to prepare breakfast, brown bag lunches for one or more children, see her children to the school bus if they are lucky, clean off the table with hardly enough time to wash the dishes, get herself ready to face the day always praying her children will arrive home safely and start the whole process all over again the next day and, probably, little or no help from a missing father. Do not misunderstand, I am not putting Ann Romney down, but , her comment only shows how out of touch she is with the rest of the world. I am happy she has not had to "work" for a living, but, she cannot possibly know the hardships "every day" families face day in and day out. These families are just as proud, just as caring as the so called, "privileged" ones.
