CBS Emergency

Suspicious Package

Targeted Bristol Palin

Someone has it out for Bristol Palin on "Dancing with the Stars" -- TMZ has learned, the suspicious package that was sent to the CBS lot yesterday came with ONE demand ... remove Bristol from the show ... or else.

Sources at CBS tell TMZ, a note was attached to the white-powdery package that read something like, "This is what will happen to you if Bristol Palin stays on [the show]."

The white powder was later determined to be harmless -- but we're told law enforcement is still treating the situation as a credible threat, and is currently investigating the situation.

FYI -- this is the SECOND time Bristol has been targeted by a suspicious letter while appearing on "Dancing with the Stars." The first package was sent when Bristol first appeared on the show in 2010. It also contained a threat.

Bristol is currently a contestant on "Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars."

People need to grow up! Bristol is a pretty girl and has as much a right to be on the show as everyone else. Get over your prejudices people!!

Probably sent by her mother so that Bristol would get sympathy and not be booted off the show since her performance tanked on the first one.

It's far more likely to be one of the 'right wing pseudo-religious nuts' that is behind this - after all, we're "liberal" remember, and as such have no problem with girls who get pregnant by their boyfriends while on camping trips with their equally pseudo-religious parents and drinking wine coolers. It is the far right who constantly preaches 'moral values' and who would be more inclined to be upset by treating Palin like a "star" simply for being sexually active at age 16, pregnant at 17 and a mother either before or close to becoming 18!

Come on people, it is just a TV show. Do not take any of the people on it seriously. It still is a TV show, nothing else.

Different Rules Apply

I'm really not sure why Bristol is considered a star, never mind part of the "All star" dancers. Just because of her mother she has achieved "star" status??? She is well known, but I would hardly consider her a star, and SHE CANNOT DANCE, Allstar my @$$

Did Carrie Ann make DWTS change the double elimination to the 3rd week because she knew Bristol was safe? LOL Carrie seems to hate on Bristol. She should at least pretend to be a non biased judge when she is on air.

The only danger Bristol would have from a package of white powder is that she would try to snort it!

Would anyone be surprised to learn that this publicity fiend did it herself?
