'X Factor' Lies

Simon & Britney's Houses

WERE FAKES

10/11/2012 7:45 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

1011_xfactor_VideoLaunch2
"X Factor" producers tried to pull the wool over your eyes last night -- because TMZ has learned Simon Cowell and Britney Spears' mansions on the show weren't their homes at all ... in fact, one actually belongs to MLB star Alex Rodriguez.

In case you missed last night's episode, groups of contestants were invited to perform at four different homes around the country -- each allegedly belonging to one of the show's four judges.

But it was ALL A LIE -- "Simon's" Miami pad actually belongs to A-Rod. The baseball star listed the home in August for $38,000,000, but it's still on the market. Simon's real house is in Beverly Hills.

1011_simons_house_PCNIt's unclear who really owns the Malibu home Britney appeared in last night, but one thing's for certain -- Britney does NOT own that Malibu home. Her real home is in Calabasas, many miles away.

1011_britneys_house_PCNAs for the other two homes -- we can't say for SURE if they're bogus, but we're betting none of the judges wanted their real homes on public display.

Sorry to burst your celeb real estate bubble.

I would do the same. I wouldn't want any stranger up in my home. Let alone knowing how to get there.

Who cares? Why would they be dumb enough to use their real houses? Still a great show last night

Of COURSE it wasn't their real houses. Duh! Why are you surprised? Would YOU invite a bunch of people to your real home? All of but one who will eventually be disgruntled? Helllllloooo!!! Why in the world would that even matter? What a stupid "story."

I don't blame them for using fake houses. I would not want to bring all those strangers into my home either.

The audience doesn't expect stars to reveal their real homes and locations. That would be ludicrous ...they are looking for singers not stalkers.

"Waah! It was ALL A LIE!!" Jesus, you guys sound like Democrats. Who CARES if it wasn't their homes. When I was watching it I was wondering why the hell they would let those strangers know where they live let alone, come into their homes. I don't blame them. Who cares.

Seriously of course they are not their actual home. What idiot would believe they are. Why would they have strangers waltzing through there homes. Especially Brittany who has young children. These are rented spaces by X Factor for them to use for this purpose. Technically they are their homes because they are rented for them to use. No where does it say that they are homes that they use are OWNED by them. I find incredible know knew this before.

Not surprised that they did not use their own homes - why invite the invasion of privacy. (they invaded Rodriguez' and someone else's!). Did you notice the huge, gaudy blowup Christmas decorations in front of Spear's house? I know she has little kids, but ugh!
