Lance Armstrong has GIVEN UP on Nike ... after Nike gave up on him ... 'cause the disgraced athlete was sportin' a pair of ASICS while jogging in Texas this weekend.

As we previously reported, Armstrong was dropped by nearly all of his sponsors last week ... in the wake of a report by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency in which Armstrong is accused of being one of the worst cheaters in the history of sport.

In addition to being banned from cycling for life, Armstrong was also stripped of his 7 Tour de France titles early Monday morning.

Plus, several major Livestrong donors are calling for their money back ... claiming they were duped into donating to the charity "based on a fraud."

Despite the criticism, Armstrong -- who stepped down from his role as president of Livestrong because of the scandal -- wore his yellow bracelet on his wrist this weekend.

The charity vows it will continue to raise money for cancer research ... even without Lance.

What does he care? He's made his millions now. Arrogant comments like that just shows how little he cares of his disgrace to the sports world.

...and BTW, he didn't really beat cancer! To fight some disease is the MOST COMMON explanation in pro sports used by athletes to take medicament which contain black listed substances. For instance, 90% of all cross-country skiing athletes suffer from asthma!!! Why? BECAUSE asthma medicament COULD contain substances with the same signature as doping drugs, so they cannot be distinguished.

I bet, Lance took huge amounts of drugs to "fight" his cancer...

The last sponsor, Oakley pulled out as personal sponsor. But they will continue to support Livestrong.

His ego, greed and arrogance led to all of this. And he appears to have learned nothing from any of it. He still thinks he's special.

Cycling is the most boring "sport" (if u can call it that) I dont see what people saw in it anyways. Lance has done so much for cancer research that I could care less if he doped or not. People's lives are more important than a bunch of doped up guys riding their bikes around

Awesome

someone got busted for a possitive test and called out Lance. cheep shot if you ask me. Then somehow the team(s) got involved for possitive results and all turned on Lance. There is still no proof ( possitive tests ) that Lance doped. It's all word of mouth. It is sad that in this world today a person is guilty now until proven innocent. I will not believe anything until Lance himself says he did.

How do these companys know the next athlete they sign wont be taking drugs too? Seems like all athletes are doing them now. QUite frankly i have never bought a product because a certain person (famous or not) has endorsed them.

You gotta be pretty messed up to ask for your money back after donating to a charity. As long as the charity isn't diverting money or being investigated etc, then it doesn't matter.

In looking:
http://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.summary&orgid=6570

His charity seems to do pretty well and are ranked pretty well, I think his $'s raised to $'s donated to actual programs is a little low. They seem to donate about twenty-five cents of every dollar raised to programs.
