'Price Is Right' Model

Wins $775k and Counting

In 'Wide Load' Preggo Lawsuit

11/20/2012 1:13 PM PST UPDATED: 11/20/2012 3:05 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

"The Price Is Right" model who sued producers -- claiming they wrongfully 86'd her for getting pregnant -- just won a $775,000 judgment, and the amount could grow.

As TMZ previously reported ... Brandi Cochran filed a suit against the game show back in 2010 ... claiming when she got pregnant, she was subjected to cruel insults from producers (like "wide load") and ultimately fired.

Now, a jury has decided in her favor, awarding Cochran $775,000 in damages -- and she could walk away with more if the jury finds the producers acted maliciously, which opens up the possibility of punitive damages.

Who knew pregnancy pays?

3:05 PM PT -- A rep for the production company behind TPIR calls the verdict "the result of a flawed process" -- claiming the court "refused to allow the jury to hear and consider that 40% of our models have been pregnant and other important evidence to our defense."

The rep adds, "We expect to be fully vindicated after the matter has been reviewed and stand behind executive producer Mike Richards and the staff of 'The Price is Right.'"

He refused to let the jury hear 40% of their models have become pregnant because it doesn't matter. What matters is how they treated this woman. For her to win means she had pretty good evidence in her favor.

She can sue win but if she loses in appeals court, she could wind up broke. She will be black listed, any "actress" who sues is unemployable.

3/4 of a million bucks? Over the years I've come across plenty of managers with big mouths who said stupid things...who knew I could get nearly a million smackers for it?

A fan

This whole lawsuit was based on the fact that Brandi wanted to have a child and return to her job. Many women have their baby and hope to return to work. It is the law that when you come back from having a baby, you get a job that is like the one you had or similiar one. Brandi went through a hard pregnancy and then she was denied a chance to return to her old job. That is against the law. I had the chance to met Brandi and her husband and they were so nice and caring. The whole family is so grounded and this shows that you should not mess with a pregnant woman!! Way to go Brandi....
