Lindsay Lohan

I AM With the Band!

Rides The Wanted's Tour Bus to Boston

12/6/2012 5:10 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

1206-lindsay-lohan-max-george-tmz-gettyLindsay Lohan has risen to super-groupie status -- and must be banging Max George -- because TMZ has learned she hit the road with The Wanted ... on their tour bus!

Sources close to Max tell us Lindsay is in Boston with The Wanted for their Thursday night show -- and we're told she got there riding first class on board the group's luxury bus ... as Max's guest.

We're also told Max is now 'fessing up he did invite LiLo backstage for the Philly Jingle Ball last night.

While Linds hitching a ride with Max is pretty strong evidence she's got her hooks into him -- our source says Max definitely "doesn't want a girlfriend, and is a single guy ... but doesn't mind having Lindsay around."

Not exactly Romeo and Juliet ... but we're guessing Lindsay will take it.

To anyone with Lindsay Lohan fatigue, here's one place you probably won't see her next week: a courtroom in Los Angeles.

Not that there won't be a proceeding about her, of course. It's just that she's not planning to attend Wednesday when a judge takes up her new car crash case, sources told the Daily News Thursday.

Instead, her lawyer will appear on her behalf because the alleged California crimes are misdemeanors, the sources said.

The “Mean Girls” star was charged last week with willfully obstructing the probe of her June 8 accident in Santa Monica, reckless driving and lying to a police officer with a statement she wasn't behind the wheel.

The judge – a new one for the oft-arrested actress – is expected to immediately revoke the probation Lohan picked up with her 2011 shoplifting conviction, a source close to the case said Thursday.

Judge Jane Godfrey then will have a few options as to what happens next, the source said.

In a best-case-scenario for the “Freaky Friday” star, Godfrey could simply “stop the clock” on Lohan's probation credit without imposing any new terms of release, the source said.

Prosecutors on the Santa Monica crash case, meanwhile, are expected to ask for bail pending their prosecution.

If the judge agrees and sets an amount Wednesday, Lohan would have to agree to a police booking to avoid a warrant, legal experts said.

“Her lawyer Shawn Holley might arrange to bring her in for a booking by a certain date where she doesn’t spend a second in a jail cell before she bails out," the source connected to the case said.

Lohan faces up to a year in jail if convicted on the obstruction charge. Lying to police carries up to six months behind bars while the reckless driving charge maxes out at 90 days.

If the judge ultimately decides she violated her probation with either the Santa Monica incident or the alleged assault that resulted in her Manhattan arrest last Thursday, Lohan could get the 245-day suspended sentence still hanging over her head in the necklace theft case, sources told The News.

Dear Red Crap,

CBS Affiliate’s Lindsay Lohan Ban Questions Capacity for Redemption
December 7 | Posted by Julia Cox
Tags: Lindsay Lohan, Lindsay Lohan CBS ban, Lindsay Lohan IRS, Opinion

Earlier this week, CBS affiliate WUSA in Washington D.C. announced it would no longer cover Lindsay Lohan.

Fred D’Ambroisi of WUSA first suggested the Lohan ban on his twitter. After an enormous response, D’Ambrosi tweeted, “OK. Due to popular demand, we just killed the :20 #LindsayLohan story in @wusa9 @5. The people have spoken!”

The ban followed reports that Lohan’s assets had been seized by the IRS for failing to pay taxes, and that Charlie Sheen had given Lohan $100,000 to pay some of the debt.

It has truly been an awful fall for Lohan, who does seem to be genuinely disturbed and drug dependent. However, there’s a hardness to her actions, a manipulative quality that does not lend itself well to sympathy. The latest arrest, last week, allegedly occurred after Lohan punched a woman in the face inside New York’s Avenue Lounge for wanting to hook up with a member of The Wanted. Lohan then screamed “are you kidding me” at cops as they hauled her out of the club.

The incident merely repeats a violent scuffle earlier in the fall, where she was involved in a dispute inside a hotel. Indeed, Lohan’s legal backstory for the fall alone is dizzying. Yet, it’s a different kind of dizzying than previous celebrity downfalls.

Charlie Sheen’s was funny, Britney Spears’s sad, and Whitney Houston’s positively devastating. Oddly, Lohan’s downfall conjures no distinctive emotion at all, other than exhaustion.

Comparing Lohan’s overexposed woes to those of Britney Spears during her 2007 divorce-fueled breakdown elicits some key distinctions.

Most importantly, the public’s appetite for Spears news was insatiable, which is not the case with Lohan. In 2007, Rolling Stone wrote “the multibillion-dollar new-media economy rests on [Spears's] slumped shoulders, with paparazzi agencies estimating that she has comprised up to twenty percent of their coverage for the past year.”

The optimist would say that people were still rooting for Spears, reading news updates in the hope she had finally sought treatment for the circus of divorce, motherhood and career uncertainty that left her mentally unstable. The realist would say that Britney’s sugarcoated, bad schoolgirl tease of an image begged to be destroyed and devirginized. An accurate conclusion, looking back, is a synthesis of the two. Audiences wanted to see Spears spiral, but retained enough investment in her music and person to believe at least in the possibility of her redemption.

Maybe it’s a cruel lack of sympathy on the media’s part, but Lohan’s redemption seems not only implausible, but fundamentally uninteresting.

Lohan floundered too early in her career to have built a strong relationship with filmgoers. Yea, Mean Girls was funny, and she gave a good performance, but it was one film. In an irony of high school Queen Bee proportions, Amanda Seyfried who played the film’s ditzy dope Karen, is now a more legitimate actress than Lohan.

These days, even Lohan paparazzi photos fetch fractions of what Spears photos did, even though they are often far juicer.

The CBS ban is a sort of “enough is enough” move by a media leader, to argue that we may be becoming part of the problem.

Regardless of whether other media outlets follow CBS’s lead, one thing has become clear: we are no longer witnessing a fall, but an anticlimatic fade.

There is a cold edge to Lohan that suggests lawlessness is her new career, almost begging anyone to challenge her. Jail, court dates and TV movie flops have been her normal since roughly 2006, when she got her first of two DUis and two arrests for cocaine related charges.

Now, in 2012, the media can no longer frame Lohan stories as the temporary derailment of a promising young star. Now, the number of stories is the news, with nothing fresh to say. Frankly, she has no career to be derailed from.

Even if Lohan does magically get it together through treatment, counseling, or simply adult responsibility, her biggest risk is not failure–it is that the public will not care about even an authentic comeback, having been entirely desensitized to the depth of her tragedy

Love Nikki :)

People on here who support Lindsay are the same type of people who thought it was a riot what those DJ's did to that poor nurse.....they have no moral respect for anybody or anything....and the news hawks don't either they are all guilty of pushing that poor nurse over the line of humiliation to the point she killed herself.....these are the same people who think its fine that this woman Lindsay Lohan is whoring herself with these boy banders....she is using them as mush as they are using her...and they say " go get it Lindsay" and other stupid assed remarks....
But the worse is the ones who say " she is a adult and she has the right to drink and do drugs and whore herself out...Well yes she does.....And I have the right to be disgusted with her for her drinking and drugging and whoring being thrown in my face everyday so she can make money off of it.....And I have the right to sit in a booth next to her if I want even if she wants it...and I have the right to stomp her ass into the floor if she gets in my face screaming and then punches me and believe me it had better be a good punch because I will hit her back and make her sorry she every got in my space..... ...

He is not even embarrassed. Oh well. Good luck with that. Doesn't mean he likes her, but wouldn't harm to have her as a groupie. I was really some other comment. I didn't think they are as big as one direction. Their music is awful so they might need the publicity. It is none of our business anyways. They can do whatever they want.

I find it funny that now that there is really no defending Lindsay anymore all her enablers have sunk to name calling. I liked watching Susan lose it.
