Australian DJs

Ducking for Cover

12/7/2012 8:56 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

The two Australian DJs at the center of the Kate Middleton hospital prank have gone RADIO SILENT since news broke that the nurse at the hospital committed suicide ... TMZ has learned.

The DJs are under serious fire after pulling off a stunt where they pretended to be the Queen of England (fake voice and all) and duped nurse Jacintha Saldanha into connecting them to the people treating Middleton, who revealed details about Kate's condition.

Saldanha's body was discovered early this morning ... and cops believe it's an obvious suicide.

TMZ called the Australian radio station where the DJs work ... and were told by the executive producer that the DJs will NOT be taking any calls, period.

The E.P. explained ... the DJs have been "ordered" not to speak to the media. It's unclear who issued the order.

The producer added, "I advise you to stop trying to call them."

Hey, TMZ, how come not a WORD about Baldwin being arrested for tax evasion?
And WHY hasn't Lohan been arrested for the same thing?

The weak minded b*tchez in this world would make prank calls illegal, bring forward wrongful death suits to people who play innocent pranks if they lead to some fragile person killing themselves. Were people prosecuted when H.G. Wells War of the Worlds was read over the radio which led to many suicides?

The nurse has mental issues, you cannot blame the DJ's for her suicide , RIP NURSE

The faux outrage is outrageous.

It's not the DJs fault. The receptionist made the decision to off herself. Could have responded a million other ways, but chose suicide.

I'll bet they're ducking. Of course in all fairness, they couldn't have known she was going to take something so silly, so hard.

It's too bad the prank victim couldn't woman up. Whatever happened to keep calm and CARRY ON?

It was a joke, not a mean joke, or a hurtful joke, just a joke. Why would you kill yourself over a call transfer, it wasn't a big deal and who even cared? The suicide was a horrible result though, I can't imagine someone being that instable? What goes on over in ENGLAND? I find it so insane...

Their joke was vetted by their lawyers as well. I would love to see both DJ and the lawyers be sacked and blacklisted.

The real prank is the Royal family letting people starve, unemployment, racism, injustices and extremely bad dental protocol continues. I can't believe that a story about some random broad having morning sickness becomes news. Then again, the Royals also have good Publicists.

People who think the nurse had mental problems might think all Japanese have mental problems for considering suicide if they commit a dishonorable act (and actually killing themselves when they have done a dishonorable thing)

Can't believe some of you dipsh*ts would blame a phone call for her death. All she did was patch them through. You'd charge them with a crime?

...when you are DJ, all you have to do is play music. But ever since doctors released studies of people with short attention spans or A.D.D., these shena****ns of pranking started to appear and 99.9 % of them are'nt funny!

I hope these DJ's don't get the blame for that woman's death. Stable people don't just go and off themselves. Obviously the nurse had other issues. The call was stupid, and should never have been put through, but lets ask why did nobody on the "royal" staff monitor the phones or advise that calls not be forwarded. It was just silly and its gonna get blown out of proportion, like everything else.
