Stacey Koon

Cop In Rodney King Beating

Now Drives a Limo

12/10/2012 10:17 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

Stacey Koon -- the former LAPD sergeant who did prison time for zapping Rodney King with a taser -- has changed careers -- he's now driving a limo.

An independent photog got Koon driving a limo for Music Express, the high-end private transport company. Koon, who was leaving LAX, scoffed at the photog, who asked if he had a reaction to Rodney King's death.

Koon was acquitted in the Simi Valley beating trial back in 1992 -- and the acquittal triggered the L.A. riots. He was later convicted in federal court of civil rights violations and served 30 months in prison.

The beating occurred nearly 22 years ago. So we gotta ask.

Sure they used excessive force..... but if Rodney had just cooperated to begin with, he would have been fine. I understand the comments here though, liberals love to defend criminals and hate on cops.

How do you call this man a piece of crap yet king died of too much alcohol and drugs. How is that not a piece of ****. They may have beat him too much but damnit if he wasn't a habitual criminal. Robbery, drugs and a police chase because he was drunk. I think he's more of a piece of crap then the one that beat him. Get over it people and move on. What's done is done. Koon is working and living his life. King is dead from a drowning due to being f'd up.

I know that there are parts of that recording that either we did not see or were not taped but NO MATTER WHAT: once Mr. King was on the ground, the violence displayed on him should have immeadiately been stopped. Rest in Peace Mr. Rodney.

Good for him. Now all he'll be trying to beat is a parking ticket.
