Ke$ha
has just -- shockingly -- come out and said she never wanted to sing the controversial lyrics in "Die Young" -- even though she's listed as one of the writers of the song.

TMZ broke the story ... Ke$ha's hit song has been yanked from a huge number of radio playlists since the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre.

Ke$ha just tweeted, she understands why her song is now inappropriate, adding,  "I had my very own issues with "die young" for this reason.  I did NOT want to sing those lyrics and I was FORCED TO."

The lyrics include this:  "Let's make the most of the night like we're gonna die young.  We're gonna die young.  We're gonna die young."

A bunch of people lashed out at Ke$ha on Twitter, slamming her for the song in the wake of the tragedy.

Ke$ha is listed as a co-writer of "Die Young," along with Dr. Luke and others.  She does not explain why she was forced to sing those lyrics.

I actually dig Ke$ha, but I don't really buy this. I'm also kind of disappointed that people would attack her when it's clearly her Record company and P.R. staff that decides when to release singles, albums etc.

It's like not like she wrote this song a day after the massacre, and then it was up on the radio a week later. The radio stations are already dropping this for now, for the sake of their own image so why does anyone feel the need to go on a witch burning spree? This ****in country man.

Seriously? People need to get a grip. I don't like her music, and really know nothing about her. However, you can't take a song that was written and recorded prior to this horrific incident and make it out to be so horrible for her to do something so insensitive. If you don't like it, don't listen. But if we start pulling all music because it mentions something someone finds offensive, we might as well all live in little plastic bubbles away from any other person. This was a tragedy, yes. Can't make all things "bad" because of it.

In my eyes, this is retarded. The song has NOTHING to o with the tragic mass murder. Americans need to stop ****ing over-reacting to everything and start being responsible ****ing parents instead of having media outlets do thier ****ing jobs for them.

I find it weird that she was forced to sing those lyrics. Since the music industry is ran by some very important and secretive people, I wouldn't be surprised if they knew about the shooting before it happened.

I couldn't tell a Keisha song from a hole in the ground, but are people REALLY that keyed up over the lyrics of a song? I mean, don't we have enough problems - why waste time on the cosmetic ones?
