Kate Middleton Nurse Suicide

Charges Possible

Against Aussie DJs

Police in London say prosecutors are trying to decide whether or not to press charges against the Australian radio DJs that were behind a royal hoax that led to a nurse committing suicide.

Jacintha Saldanha killed herself three days after a prank phone call done by Australian DJs Mel Greig and Michael Christian was broadcast. The two radio hosts impersonated Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles in order to get information about the medical condition of Kate Middleton. Saldanha was the nurse who put the call through, and it was a second nurse who gave them information.

Saldanha was found dead on December 7.

Prosecutors are reviewing the case to see if charges will be brought.

Greig and Christian are no longer on the air and their show has been canceled.

That nurse had obvious mental issues to begin with! To try and say otherwise is ridiculous!

Weren't the DJ's fired? The radio station will probably be sued. That's enough.

Don't get why the Aussie DJs are called "murderers" the prank was in bad taste but they had no intention or idea something so horrible would happen

It was a joke! If she was so weak minded to kill herself over something like that obviously she has other serious issues. She had a husband and children....seems to me she had a lot to live for. I think the treatment at the hospital made her do it. She even made reference to it in one of her suicide notes. They should be the ones accountable.

This is getting ridiculous. It was a joke. The woman who killed herself obviously had issues way before they pranked her. Not only that this woman was really selfish for killing herself when she has 2 kids.

The Brits are trying desperately to blame someone besides their own hospital administrators who were unreasonably critical of the nurse putting the call through. THEY were the reason she committed suicide, not the prank call.

The call itself wasn't smart or appropriate ... but it also wasn't criminal. If they are prosecuted for a tasteless prank, then what's next ... prosecuting comedians for tasteless bad jokes that hurt someone's feelings?

Impersonation is a crime. They should be charged. They could've hung up the phone when they were patched through and called it good, but no, they continued to impersonate the Queen and Prince. It's a federal crime they have committed.

Oh please. She obviously was unstable and had mental sues to begin with. A prank phone call does not make someone commit suicide.
