History of Suicide

Jacintha Saldanha
-- the London nurse who killed herself after answering a prank call from two Aussie DJs -- reportedly had a HISTORY of failed suicide attempts.

Saldanha tried to take her own life TWICE in the last year alone, according to The Daily Mail ... first by ODing on pills last December, then again nine days later by attempting to jump off a building.

According to the report, Saldanha spent several days in an intensive care unit to recover, underwent psychiatric treatment and got scripts for a slew of antidepressants.

It changes the complexion of the now-infamous DJ prank involving a pregnant and hospitalized Kate Middleton. Being the straw that broke the camel's back is way different than what everyone first thought after the nurse hanged herself.

See, everyone hated on me when this was first reported, when I made the statement "A joke doesn't make people commit suicide, something else was wrong with her to begin with". I WAS RIGHT! Look it up!

She was a nurse!!! if she wanted to kill herself jumping off a building just sounds idiotic, there are far more easier ways to do it as she had medical knowledge and easy access to medical supplies. Even if she had tried before, the dj's have some responsibility to her, to her family, and to the community.

Excuse me, but how does one "attempt" to jump off a building? It's not friggin' complicated ha ha. This dumb bitch sounds like a complete loser, no big loss. Let those nice DJs have their show back, they were hilarious.

I wouldn't want to be that piece of straw!

And you can't really have a history of suicide, now, can you? I think they meant "attempts". A very tragic story.

While this lady may have tried before, the DJs in Australia still had no business contacting a hospital setting to "prank" call. It's outrageous to think that everyone on the globe must always be on guard to deal with the media pranks, no matter how dire or serious the cir***stance! So, no, you DJs are still not off the hook for this very unfortunate set of cir***stances that arose. I hope instead that these two will do something a little more productive with their lives as a result of their misfortune.

I think this story needs to be dropped for the sake of Kate and a safe, healthy pregnancy. The DJs were irresponsible, the hospital was irresponsible, this woman was troubled. Everyone has paid a terrible price. Let it go.

I knew something was off with this lady when she committed suicide over transferring a telephone call. The DJ's had no way of knowing this lady was suicidal so there is no reason to hold them responsible over the nurse killing herself. End of story.

Please change the title. it makes me laugh, which is inappropriate considering he gravity of the subject matter. It is impossible to have a history of suicide. It is, however, possible to have a history of suicide attempts.
