Lance Armstrong

Reportedly Ready to Come Clean to Oprah

1/12/2013 5:05 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

0112-lance-armstrong-oprah-tmzLance Armstrong is gearing up to admit that he was doping throughout his illustrious cycling career ... and he will make the admission to Oprah Winfrey this week ... so says a new report.

Armstrong will not go into great detail, says USA Today, but will make the admission during an interview that tapes Monday and airs on Thursday.

The seven-time Tour de France winner has adamantly denied any wrongdoing for years, often attacking anyone who accused him.

Armstrong was banned for life and stripped of all his Tour de France victories last year.

He'll, no doubt, lean heavily on his charity work as a free-pass for not honestly earning everything he has. Fact is; without drugs he's probably a nobody. Sure he did a tremendous amount of charity work, but I'm also sure he's doing quite well financially thanks to being a cheating douche-bag. If he really wants to make amends maybe he should give away all his accrued wealth that he didn't earn (and stole from someone that was competing fairly and should have won) and give it all to charity? ....Not a chance.

My state is still paying for the "Pleasure" of having this Fraud here.We had to shell out millions of tax payer $$$$ for the "Privlege of having to witness His greatness. BTW, the event that we had to pay millions to be in the company of such awesomeness is theTDU. (TOUR DOWN UNDER)
None the less this event willl still continue to grow, in spite of what this fraud did. We still have the worlds best riders competing here.

I believed him for the longest time because he was always clean in his tests, but when I read a story that explained in detail how he gamed the system to get those clean results I lost all faith in him.

Too little too late, loser boy. We already know.

Lance is going on Oprah because it's the American way - larger audience than a sports network, confess to Mother Oprah, ask for forgiveness, and go on to your next goal, which is getting back into professional sports. That is the ONLY reason he's confessing now, so he can try to regain a portion of his formerly glamorous life.
I live in Austin. Lance is a joke here and despised. I hope his "apology" and confession fall on deaf ears.

He wants to be allowed to do triathlons so he's using the truth a bargaining chip. THAT IS ALL. After lying and lying and lying. He allowed a newspaper to PAY HIM when he knew it was true and his libel suit against them was A SHAM. Lance is A LIVING SHAM. Lance Armstrong has no character, no integrity, no credibility. Lance is garbage.

I could almost let the cheating go, but the way he destroyed others' careers, and the full scale attacks on any one who questioned him are the acts of a horrible man.

I am really disappointed in him - not because of the doping, but because he is actually going to be on Oprah's show.

About time, good for him. Would finally allow for everybody to move forward, specifically those who are still suffering from years of fairly brutal intimidation tactics.

He should have been honest in the beginning. He kept lying and lying making everyone who accused him look crazy and they were just jealous of him..the example is to not cheat. Get ur awards faithfully. And be honest. He isn't the only one who dopes and won't be the last. But u need to be honest. The lying is what makes u look bad.

"I told her (Winfrey) to go wherever she wants and I'll answer the questions directly, honestly, candidly. That's all I can say.

LMAO @ directly, honestly, candidly.

if his lips are moving, he's lying. if they're not moving, he's thinking up his next lie.
