Stan was the perfect retort to the old, misguided saying..."Nice guys finish last".

I was privileged to watch Mr. Musial play in 1953 and what a player. He was unpretentious as well as fan friendly that day. The thing that stuck in my mind about him to this day was his weird batting style that seemed unnatural ... flat swing with hands at waist level. His posing swing for photographers was much different than his actual one. A great rep for MLB ; RIP.
