It's the greatest news you'll hear all day ... Mark-Paul Gosselaar is officially ready for a "Saved by the Bell" TV spin-off thingy ... telling TMZ, if "Boy Meets World" can pull it off so can Bayside High!

Mark-Paul ... a.k.a Zack Morris ... was leaving B.O.A. Steakhouse this weekend, when our photog asked if he'd be watching the revamped version of "Boy Meets World" known as "Girl Meets World" -- set to premiere soon.

And not only did Mark-Paul say he'd watch the show ... but if it's good, he said "maybe we'll do a reunion as well."

So we gotta ask ...

The problem would be, SBTB was about the kids hanging out together. If they brought it back, they would be adults with jobs, so they wouldn't be hanging out together, unless of course they got their old jobs back at the seaside beach resort. But please don't bring back Leah Remini for that.

I think you hit a generational divide, and your question is unfair. Saved By the Bell just the base series, ended when Boy Meets World began, so as someone born in 1990 I think Boy Meets World hit my generation a little harder than Saved By the Bell did, but those born in the early 80s maybe might more so be into Saved by the Bell, I watched both, and they both have their merits. but I think the question would be stratified by age naturally.

Wouldn't it just be a show about teens standing around txting each other and checking their Headbook updates? Sounds riveting.

Zack can be the principle, and Mario Lopez can be the wrestling coach during the day a TV host by night.
At least they can still ware the same wardrobe.

I think voters are confusing which show they watched the most with which was a better show.

Boy Meets World is better in many areas; scripts, issues taken on, acting, while Saved By The Bell was on TV a LOT more frequently in syndication (seemed like 24/7).

Being "more familiar" with a show doesn't make it a "better" show.

Zack and Slater can be teachers and Screech can play the guy who's not allowed within 500 ft of a school or park.

Could work if they scripted it right and don't just try to reuse old formulas, and Screech has to be on the show too, he lightened it up.
Plus it was awesome when Screech was on Celebrity Fit Club and judges and celebs tried to make him their little scapegoat....and he didn't back down from the judges or Harvey...."Would ya? WOULD YA!?".....haha kick his ass Screech :D
