Impossible he is a 'hero', right?? My husband is a left leg amputee, the whole fight for someone with high tech prosthesis to compete against two legged runners has always bugged me. Yes you have an advantage, you won't pull muscles, or break bones, wear down cartilage or ligaments. Yes your molded curved, bounce back construction does indeed give you an advantage. You are no hero with your $50,000 leg. You want to be a hero and compete against regular two legged runners than you try doing it on the $3,000 typical prosthetic leg most amputees spend their lives with, if you can still beat the two legged guy then maybe I'll buy into your 'hero' title. And now to read that this 'hero'.. this fighter who beat the odds that we are all supposed to look up to.. is just some loser a$$ who shot and killed his girlfriend. Rot in hell.. or prison. I hope you spend the rest of your life in a wheelchair or better yet having to wear the painful, heavy and often ill fitting prosthesis that most 'non-hero' amputees have to spend their life wearing.

He must have had a good reason to kill her. Maybe he made her mad so that's okay. Afterall that's what Dorner apologists believe. In their sick and twisted world there must be a justification for a needless murder. Very sad to hear and I hope he gets thrown in jail.
