Caine's Arcade Kid

No More Cardboard Boxes

Signs With HUGE Agency

3/5/2013 5:00 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

The adorable kid from the Caine's Arcade viral video -- who couldn't afford arcade games and had to settle for cardboard boxes -- is about to start raking it in. We found out he just inked a deal with one of the biggest talent agencies in Hollywood!

According to legal docs filed in L.A. Superior Court -- and obtained by TMZ -- 10-year-old Caine Monroy was signed by William Morris Endeavor. Caine is now part of WME's client list which includes Denzel Washington, Ben Stiller, Tina Fey, and Steve Carell -- so it's a pretty big deal.

And to think it all started after a video of Caine went viral last year --  featuring the East L.A. child ingeniously using cardboard boxes and trash to build himself an arcade in his dad's used auto parts shop.

Hollywood ... sometimes good things happen here.

"stupid little video"?! Sounds like at least one TMZ staffer is bitter and jealous that this kid has more success and intelligence at his age than they will have in their entire life.

Whoa - some of the comments are off base here. Don't know what some of you have read, but this is a genuine kid who with the help of an independent film maker created a WHOLE lot of change with kids around the world.

In response to all those mean comment:

No one is born an actor. Besides it'd be refreshing to see a chIld actor be shy & sincere rather than precocious.
I think there might be a movie in the works about Caine's Arcade perhaps STARRING CAINE

TMZ is being tacky. I am so happy for Caine and family. What a sweet boy with a sweet spirit.

Yup.. Tmz originally called this a 'stupid little video' and didn't have any integrity to state that they edited the post.

A snapshot of their original post

You can pick on adults TMZ, but leave kids alone.

Ok...let me get this straight. The boy is rewarded for being creative and original and for standing apart from all the other NON-CREATIVE iPad toting kids, and then we applaud when he gets a contract with a company that provides the artists for digital media??? everyone really falling for this?? Ps...the viral video was not done by an amateur.

you're calling the video a stupid little video because you're bummed that you didn't come up with the idea and make the video yourself. i hope the kids who are inspired by that awesome little video don't read this article and turn into bullies like you.

This is the perfect example of how social media caused Cain's father to have a heart attack at the benefit of someone else. Not a fan!
