TMZ has obtained a photo of San Francisco 49ers player Chris Culliver during his visit to The Trevor Project yesterday -- where he underwent sensitivity training after making homophobic comments before the Super Bowl.

Culliver vowed to educate himself about the challenges faced by the LGBT community after he said he would never welcome a gay football player in his team locker room.

A rep for The Trevor Project tells TMZ Culliver visited the L.A. center on Sunday and Monday ... explaining, "He learned about LGBT, gender identity and how that affects a young person."

The rep adds, "Chris is learning about LGBTQ youth [lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning]  suicide prevention, and his role as a gatekeeper in helping to reduce risk and prevent suicide."

After his training, Chris told staff he had a "great experience" with the group and "learned a lot."

We're told the people Chris worked with also had "positive feedback" about the NFL player.

The rep says TTP is proud of Chris ... saying, "The first step is to reach out for help and Chris did that.”

I love it that even the folks on TMZ are starting to realize the fact that the general public is not cool with getting liberal media agendas shoved down our throats!! Is America finally waking up? I truly hope so! It used to be about tolerance.. we don't have to approve of your lifestyle, as long as we don't hate.. that should be all that matters!!

I know it is mostly for publicity, but I hope he's learning something. While I was never homophobic, I thought gays were kind of strange until I actually met some in college and realized they were nice people and I couldn't care less what they did in the privacy of their own homes.. I've had many gay friends since.

We all know those who speak the loudest against a subject are usually speaking of themselves.

Man this dude should rip down that banner and just be who he is. Stupid a$$ America with this shoveling gay sh!t down our throats. Keep what you do in the bedroom in your bedroom. "Hey dad why is that guy taking a picture at the gay bath house?" "Because he's a sellout kid, typical 49er, him being at that gay bar is as phony as your fake president who was against gay marriage an hour ago, then he was kinda for it, now he's ready to throw rice at their dumb wedding! If by "great experience" he actually meant pain in the ass, and "learned a lot" actually meant didn't give a ****.

en Todo Momento!!

i mean if you look to like india and the middle east, it's 'normal' for men, guys, dudes to hold hands and caress each other in public, like it's totally ok. they don't call this 'gay' or 'homo', they call it 'normal'. so maybe with the whole world coming together as one, these 'international standards' are being 'included' as 'social grooming behavior' and maybe this is why the whole 'homo agenda' is being pushed so strongly, because men in far away places don't want to be considered abnormal for holding hands with other men, and for caressing them gently... numbers matter, you know.. and india gots some 1 billion people. combined with the wild masses of the middle east, a couple of uptight us americans are not going to have anything to say.

Not buying it. It's good PR, but we all know what he's really thinking.

Don't get me wrong, I think his homophobia is lame and I know this is all a PR scheme, but "sensitivity training" is basically brain washing, right? What would the diff be if a gay kid went in for "training" to reverse his sexuality. Kinda weird.

This "**** gays", "**** f*ags" is getting out of hand, you right-wing nut-jobs. If someone was screaming "**** n*ggers" or "**** cr*ackers" would you still defend their so-called "right to their own opinion" as heartily as you're protecting the rights of those that insult homosexuals?

If you don't believe that these things are similar or parallel, don't bother commenting. Dislike and move on with your life. It's tiring proving you idiots wrong over and over knowing damn well you're going to keep on being the ignorant a-holes you are.
