Transgender MMA Fighter

Wants to Fight Chicks

3/6/2013 10:30 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

A female transgender MMA fighter who just kicked an opponent's ass in 39 seconds has set her sights on the UFC.

Fallon Fox was born a man.  In 2006, when she was 30, she had gender reassignment surgery.

Fox is now a MMA fighter for the Championship Fighting Alliance (CFA).  Her record is 2 and 0 after destroying Ericka Newsome Saturday night in 39 seconds with a vicious knee to the head.

Fox says she now wants to fight "at the highest level" -- which in the MMA world is only one place -- the UFC.

Fox insists she is a woman in every respect and just happens to fall into the category of postoperative transsexual.  She compares herself to any other category of women, including blacks, lesbians and the disabled.

Fox says she has no advantage over naturally born women.

The owner of CFA, Jorge De La Noval, tells TMZ, "CFA is an organization which does not discriminate against any fighter ... as long as they are professionally licensed."

As for fighting in the UFC, Dana White tells us to fight in the UFC ... Fox would have to get the green light from the state athletic commission.  But he also says Fox hasn't proved herself yet ... the 2 women she's beat have never won a fight.

ana says, "She's gotta win some real fights to even talk about the UFC."  And Dana warns, "It's not like transgenders who play golf or baseball.  UFC is a contact sport."

So we gotta ask ...

I voted no - but what I mean is "not yet". She's got to really prove herself against much better opponents.

Didn't Octomom do boxing before the porn & rehab stage? That'd be a good one.

The question has come up about unnatural testosterone levels in transwomen. The opposite happens in guys who use steroids to 'bulk up'. The body has a funny habit of turning excess testosterone into estrogen. that's why 'roid users develop 'b!tch-t!ts". The opposite can happen - if there's too much estrogen in a woman's system, the body turns the excess into testosterone. From-the-DNA-out women who have Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH) produce 'way more than the normal amount of testosterone, and often their genitalia is masculinized.

Google "XY unassisted pregnancy." It seems that we once thought "XX" was female and "XY" was male. Yet an xy got naturally pregnant and had a baby. There are those humans born without any "bits and pieces" and those born with both sets of "bits and pieces." Gender clearly runs a range.

i'm all for continuing the fight for equality for our transgendered brothers and sisters, but, geez, this makes me feel really uncomfortable. yeah, she's been a woman for at least 6 years, but she was a man for 30... there's just something off about watching her beat the daylights out of the other woman in the ring.

Some key things. First, we can all argue over the “science” and “fairness” of it all we want. But you know who’s done the research? Who’s done scientific studies and examined the “fairness” in-depth? The International Olympic Committee. The LPGA. The Women’s Tennis Association. The New York Supreme Court. And they’ve all come to the same conclusion: Trans women do NOT have an unfair advantage physically over other women. So you can keep blabbering on about fairness, but your arguments hold no water because they’re only backed up by ignorance.

Second, is it “fair” that Michael Jordan was born to be taller, stronger and quicker than I was? Is it “fair” that Usain Bolt as born with gifts I was not? How far do we take “fair”? Should there be different divisions of sports based on height? Weight? Intelligence? No, of course not. So even IF Fallon has an “unfair advantage” over someone else (which she doesn’t), so what! That’s what makes sports! Some people are born with gifts that others aren’t. Fallon has a gift for MMA fighting, so good for her.

And finally, what business is it of yours anyway? Fallon is in a sport in which her opponents can choose to fight her or not. If they choose to fight, they know what they’re getting into. They’ve seen the tape. They know. If they choose not to, so be it. It doesn’t matter if you think it’s “fair” or not. Science is on her side. The law is on her side. And worldwide sports organizations are on her side. So your opinion isn’t just uneducated and, yes, “unfair,” it’s also drastically irrelevant.

I don't care how fem you feel, if you can't pass a chromosome check saying you're a woman, better man up.

Here's how the International Olympic Committee is currently handling the transgender issue:

"In June 2012, in advance of the 2012 Summer Olympics, the IOC released IOC Regulations on Female Hyperandrogenism, which addressed cases of female hyperandrogenism. The regulation includes the statement, "Nothing in these Regulations is intended to make any determination of sex. Instead, these Regulations are designed to identify cir***stances in which a particular athlete will not be eligible (by reason of hormonal characteristics) to participate in 2012 OG Competitions in the female category. In the event that the athlete has been declared ineligible to compete in the female category, the athlete may be eligible to compete as a male athlete, if the athlete qualifies for the male event of the sport."[12] This policy has been criticized on the grounds that testosterone level is not predictor of athleticism and that the policy does not protect individuals' right to gender self-identification.[13]"
