UPDATE:  Even though Bobby's been sprung from the pokey, he's still not entirely free.  He's under house arrest and has to wear an electronic monitoring bracelet for a grand total of 8 days.  Nice gig.

gray-bar-update
It's a testament to how incredibly screwed up our justice system is ... Bobby Brown -- who was sentenced to 55 days in jail for his 3rd DUI -- just served a grand total of 9 HOURS in jail ... TMZ has learned.

Brown checked into L.A. County Jail at 9:58 AM Wednesday.  He was released at 6:58 PM.  Interesting ... an L.A. County Sheriff's spokesperson said just days ago Brown would serve 9 days ... but the jails are bursting at the seams and this is what happens ... kind of a joke, don't you think?

Brown was arrested in October after driving erratically on an L.A. street.  He pled no contest to DUI and driving on a suspended license.  It was his second DUI arrest in 7 months.

Bobby is on 4 years probation and has to attend alcohol ed classes for 18 months.

Yes, that'll teach him. 9 entire hours in jail after his third DUI will really drive the point home. I guess in CA jail sentences for celebrities are just a "suggestion", ask LiLo.

Hahahahaha
Justice doesn't exist
I hope Lindsay Lohan takes the 90 day jail sentence as opposed to suffering another forced rehab.

Would it not be cheaper to let these non-violent offenders sleep at home and order them down to the jail using public transportation every morning where they would be put in shackles and ordered to clean verious communities in the LA area?

The present justice system is a joke and it it no a question about celebrity justice.

Just a second D.U.I. for most people would mean 15 days in Jail and a 3rd? If there is such a problem with overflowing (for years now) why don't they build a special jail just for the Hollywood Celebrities where they do have to spend all their time. This is just whacked.

Diamond Goddess!

Bobby Brown's got more ballz in his, well, ballz (lol) than Felony Blohan has in her whole wretched bawtay!!!
He faced it, and now it's over.
Felony just keeps stretching it out (for attention, methinks) and just makes at all worse.
Felony, learn from Bobby!!!
It's YOUR prerogative.
(LOLS. Couldn't resist!)

Prisons are crowded, money is short, and unfortunately these celeb wrecks can't be put in the general population like the average joe; given that their special accommodations cost more, it only makes sense that they are released so quick. On the other end that is probably why people like lindsay lohan and bobby brown keep breaking the law, they know they won't serve the time.
