Oscar Pistorius

On the Run

4/4/2013 9:35 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

0404_oscar_pistorius_running_landovOscar Pistorius returned to doing what he loves recently -- running on a track on a beautiful day with the sun beating down on his face ... while the girlfriend he shot to death is still dead.

Despite the fact he admitted to shooting Reeva Steenkamp back in February, the judge granted the former Olympian bail ... allowing him to roam around South Africa like a regular non-killer person.

Oscar was pictured jogging on a track at a university in S.A. on March 24.

Pistorius -- who's been charged with murder -- says he doesn't intend to compete in any races ... but reps for the runner say family and friends have encouraged him to continue training because they believe it will help him cope with the trauma.

Having your girlfriend stay the night then shooting her while she’s using the bathroom is not trauma, it’s murder. Seriously, how can anyone, especially a judge, buy that b.s. story?? Who would actually think an intruder stopped to use the bathroom?! They must be a special kind of stupid in South Africa to let him out of jail.

Since I'm guessing most Americans know nothing about the South African justice system how about withholding comments such as "allowing him to roam around South Africa like a regular non-killer person." He hasn't been convicted, and he has admitted that he in fact did it, offering up a very plausible scenario. I used to live there, I kow exactly how dangerous S.A. can be. Those people aren't living behind three foot thick walls in gated communities with security guards for no reason. Investigate the crime statistics there before you so harshly judge M. Pistorius. You might also want to look into the stats on Police corruption there. It's rampant and has been for decades. We already know the crime scene was compromised by Mr. Botha, the then lead investigator, so how about instead of assuming we have all of the answers, we let this play out the way it should?

The trauma of being caught murdering, or the trauma of the possibility he may never be able to murder again?

"running on a track on a beautiful day with the sun beating down on his face ... while the girlfriend he shot to death is still dead."

That's right - this murderer's victim will never run again and he shouldn't either.

I dislike the condescending tone TMZ. You don't know the details of the case so get off his jock!

I don't believe he is grieving very much. He wasn't with her for very long before he killed her so for him, it's over. I think it was the roid rage and his anger issues that got the best of him. Sounds like they argued a lot and he lost it.

The rich always get away with their crimes, just like the Kardashians and the Lohans.
