Rachael Ray Show Sued

260 lb Teen Says

They Made Me Take a Hike!

4/16/2013 4:22 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0416-rachael-ray-gettyA very large teen claims the "Rachael Ray" show is more brutal than CrossFit, more grueling than P90X, more intense than "The Biggest Loser" -- and it all ended with humiliation and anxiety.

Christina Pagliarolo -- who weighed in at 260 lbs -- agreed to be part of a segment on overweight teens.  She claims in her lawsuit ... the trainer made her run like Forrest Gump, yelled and screamed at her, and made her hike in the mountains.

Worst of all, she says the trainer put her on a StairMaster and kept cranking up the speed until she fell off the machine ... and then he yelled at her for falling.

Christina says she was a mess after training ... suffering serious injuries including messed up legs.

Christina is suing for negligence and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

So she is a money grubbing opportunist , so why does that make it alright for all those here to spout their vile and vicious comments . None of this has anything to do with any of you . This is what you live fro to spout this stuff because you think you can do it without having your face on the net or having to step up and say these things in the public . Your all just a bunch of vile and uneducated cowards and guess what your all as bad or worse than this girl.

The show was about FAT kids. Did she think she was on the show to be a taste tester?

Seriously?! How do people expect to lose weight? By daintily dancing through fields of daisies? You have to work hard, you have to challenge yourself, and you have to push yourself past your mental limits in order to produce change. The show tried to help her and she gave up. She has no right to sue. This kind of cow dunk is wasting our tax dollars in court!

give me a freaking break!! I'm going to be openly blunt here - if I offend anyone I'm sorry. A lot of over weight people want it the easy way - pop pills to lose weight, these over-priced diets/meals, or a walk around the block. IT TAKES WORK! and HARD WORK! you ain't gonna look like Cameron Diaz overnight! this moron should never have gone on the show! i hope she doesn't get a dime.

This girl should be ashamed of herself. She knew The Rachel Ray show was doing a do***entary on teens losing weight and when she didn't succeed, it's the show's fault? CRAZY! I watched week after week as this girl failed to lose the weight that was expected of her. She was so mad at herself but then turned it around to make the show look bad? Just disgusting!

Where is the humiliation??? Didnt see it and if it wasnt shown on the show, then it just seems like she is fishing for $$$...Not the show's fault she didnt lose any weight...She didnt seem motivated, I would have loved for someone to pay for a free trainer for me!!!

People like this are horrible. They were trying to help her. It is why doctors wont stop at accidents, afraid to be sued. She should be ashamed of herself.

Waa! "Messed up legs" have doctors stumped! I'm thinking amputation and replacement with those South African blade runner legs. Run little girl, run like the wind!

A lot of people on here have criticized this young lady for not putting forth the effort. Okay I am a former fatty.
First: Trainers need to remember that overweight/obese cannot perform overtly strenuous exercises that put too much pressure on their joints. I am not saying the exercise should not be challenging. Absolutely it should but it should be gradually added or increased!
2nd: The mental or psychological aspect of over-eating has to be addressed. If not, the behavior will NOT change!

It is NOT easy and I am absolutely talking from personal experience. It is a struggle, not everyday for me, but you have to be focused and write goals down. Go to the gym or workout at home or walk even when mentally you don't feel like. If I went by how I feel, I would probably workout only two days a week!

This is a great site for those interested. sparkpeople.com!
