Rihanna Concert

Herpe Days Are Here Again

breaking news

A woman claims she got a souvenir at a Rihanna concert that will last her a lifetime ... herpes.

Starkeema Greenidge claims in a new lawsuit she was at a Rihanna concert at Barclays Center in Brooklyn when she was approached by a M.A.C. rep, who was hawking lipstick samples.

Greenidge claims the rep applied the RiRi Woo, red lipstick -- endorsed by Rihanna -- to her upper lip, told her to press her lips together and spread it around.

The suit claims the lipstick had been previously applied to the lips of others at the concert, and someone had the herp.

Greenidge told TMZ ... the day after the concert, "My whole lip was irritated and hugely swollen."  Greenidge says she went to a doctor and he told her she had herpes.

The suit accuses M.A.C. of shoddy business practices -- applying lipstick directly from the tube instead of using either disposable samples or individual swabs.

Greenidge is suing M.A.C. Cosmetics, Inc -- not Rihanna -- for unspecified damages.

I thought they were trying to say Rihanna had herpes because that was a rumor that has yet to be confirmed other than random pictures of her with a lip sore. Once again TMZ using words to lure me in and they got my @ss!!!

And that, kiddies, is why you don't share anything with anybody: Straws, lipstick, eye-makeup, etc. Listen to your mothers. They've seen some sh*t.

Lol she already had herpes she just didn't want her boyfriend to know so she's blaming it on lipstick.

LOL!!! she is the dumb one for trying on a lipstick sample that was used by someone else. Dumb, they should sue her for stupidity.

Herpes Simpleton 1. Looks good on the shallow, superficial "put lipstick on me at a concert" dipstick.

Yes because letting a stranger put lipstick on my mouth seems reasonable.

MAC never applies cosmetics directly to a client's face. They sanitize whatever products they may be using and use an individual, disposable swab to apply items such as lipstick or mascara. If she applied the lipstick herself, that's her own dumb fault. This woman has no proof where this herpes allegedly came from. Try going to work and not looking for a quick handout.

I've never heard of full blown herpes developing the next day. It generally takes a few weeks.

They shouldn't be doing that, but... she needs to take responsibility for her own actions. I'm sure she voluntarily let them apply it.

As far as any educated person should know, the herpes virus cannot survive on a non human host. Meaning, as soon as the herpes virus touches the lipstick, it dies as it does not have an organic host anymore to keep the virus reproducing. Thus, it is highly impossible that the reason this woman got herpes is because of sharing lipsticks. She probably kissed some hobo at the concert who had it...

Herpes can't infect externally without an open sore already. So this woman is shocked people with sores used it when she had a sore/cut on her lips? She was willing to sully the lipstick herself with no thought to others but didn't think someone else did it too?

Sounds like it was RIhanna's PERSONAL lipstick
