Michael Jackson Death Trial

AEG Live

On the Ropes

It's pretty shocking ... but Katherine Jackson may have taken a giant step today toward convincing a jury AEG Live was negligent in protecting Michael Jackson just days before his death.

AEG Live honcho Randy Phillips had trouble explaining to Katherine's lawyer why he thought MJ "looked really good" in a meeting 5 days before his death when a photograph taken a day before the meeting clearly showed otherwise.

The photo shows a smiling Jackson but someone who looked gaunt and pale.  On top of that, there is testimony that producer/director Kenny Ortega and others were alarmed over Jackson's health.

In the days preceding his death, Jackson had missed rehearsals and was sweating profusely.  He also seemed out of it.

As for how Phillips reconciled his statement with other evidence, he said, "I was confused as anybody."

Here's the deal ... This case was AEG's to lose.  AEG could have made it simple and just said they assumed MJ was being properly cared for by the doctor MJ handpicked.  But AEG has gotten a little too cute, painting a picture that the jury may not be buying.

Short story ... Propofol aside, if the jury believes AEG unreasonably pushed MJ like a circus animal, they could be in beaucoup trouble.

I must have missed something, but in at least five years before he died he looked like .... well, to best put it ... he looked like death warmed over. Michael Jackson hasn't looked robust and healthy since he was 12 years old.

Michael Jackson Was A Pedo

Who cares if AEG pushed him when they knew he wasn't well. Look at the wonderful outcome. The HERO Dr. Conrad Murray rid the world of one of the most dangerous pedophiles in modern history.
His fans are in denial but perhaps if they tried to invite other people's children to spend the night in their bedroom sleeping alone with them they'd see just how sick MJ was. Any other grown adult that has other people's children sleeping behind a locked door with them would be in jail and NOBODY would care. MJ created Thriller so he got a free pedo pass. Not to mention the millions of dollars Jackson paid to a child accuser to keep quiet... because we all know the one thing you want to do if you're accused of something as evil and pedophilia is pay the accuser hush money. Sure.
Karma caught up with Jackson in the end. Just think... if he'd been found guilty of pedophilia he'd still be alive.. in jail, but alive.
If the Jackson family wins any money they should donate it to MJ's many MANY victims.

I like MJ's music too. It's sad that he's gone , & at such a young age. But the thing is, he was a grown man. You can't make a grown man take care of himself.

Is my boss responsible if I go to work drunk or high and he lets me work? Who cares if AEG knew!? Last time I checked, MJ was a grown ass child molesting ADULT, so he could certainly make his own decisions. When did we start demanding that celebrities also be baby sat? They're already coddled enough.

AEG was greedy by adding 50 more shows. Knowing MJ was not healthy enough to do those 50 additional shows, AEG became negligent by hiring Conrad Murray. Randy Phillips admitted he slapped MJ in the face, so he was physically abusive towards a man who he now claims wasn't healthy.

The suit is about AEG hiring Conrad Murray and being negligent in doing so. Now, the prosecution presented evidence like the prepared employment contract from AEG to have Murray sign, the email that states: 'Please remind Dr. Murray that it is AEG and NOT MJ who is paying his salary, and MJ died due the fact the doctor was present while administering the fatal dose of propofol and is now in jail for the NEGLIGENT death of the man in question. As a juror, what more do I need?

Waka planned his suicide for months. He wanted to go out with a bang right before his concerts and make it look like it was someone else's fault.
He knew he couldn't perform for several reasons -
His respiratory condition from his botched nose jobs and drug use
His lupus, which must have been active the whole time he was trying to rehearse
His voice was shot and he was out of shape from years of not practicing
He was too high maintenance to perform a full concert b/c he required so much makeup and wig changes.
His overblown ego was a factor because he wanted to one up Prince by doing more sold out shows. He was still delusional thinking he was the most popular performer in the world.

AEG is guilty of perpetrating a money grab and should be held accountable to the ticket holders. They can only be held accountable for Murray's actions if it can be proven that they knew he was shooting Waka up. The Jacksons won't be able to prove it. For all they know Waka gave himself the lethal dose.

A man in control does not get slapped in the face. Ever. AEG was in control, and when you slapped someone because they are not rehearsing, it means they were pushing him, which is what the suit is about. Didn't it cross their minds that maybe MJ could not rehearse because he was sick? of course not. Money, Money, Money. MJ was not in control. AEG was. Period.
