Rev. Al Sharpton

Don't Judge Paula Deen

For OLD Racist Comments

EXCLUSIVE

Rev. Al Sharpton doesn't much care if Paula Deen used the n-word 27-years-ago ... he says it's more about whether she's still using it today.

We asked Sharpton -- a renowned figure in the Civil Rights movement -- if Paula should be forgiven, and he was somewhat sympathetic, saying ... "A lot of us have in the past said things we have regretted saying years ago."

The Rev. added Paula should instead be judged based on the outcome of the current lawsuit ... from a former employee accusing Paula and her brother of using offensive language.

"You can't deal with what is fair and not fair till we see the outcome of the present circumstances she's accused of ... not something 20 years ago."

Sharpton also addresses another hot button racial issue ... fried chicken.

Really. You gotta see it.

People say and do things they regret on a daily bases. Finding someone willing to admit it is rare.

Paula Deen Needs to Start by giving the Girl her Million Dollars to settle the Lawsuit, because this girl has past and present employees as witnesses that the jury may find credible or not, but the public may not like what they have to say. Paula Give the girl her Million Make her go away and start rebuilding your image.

It's not just about the 'n' word. There's a lot more to this.

There is no reason to be narrow minded. As a country we need to grow up. Words only hv power when we make them have it. We should be strong enough now to handle the negative. These greedy networks show just how disloyal they are to those who help make them when a little improper comment from someone who has brought their network success can lose his/her job. Ms. Deen knows what she said was not proper, but she didh't do anything that should cost her to lose her place in your network. Food Network, you need to grow up and put on your "big boy" pants. As a Black people, we have learned that "sticks and stones may break our bones, but names xan never hurt us!

The depositions being given in that lawsuit make it quite clear that the n-word is REGULARLY used in the kitchen of the restaurant involved with the lawsuit (i.e. Deen's kitchen).
-
She's a racist. Period. She's not sorry. She's only sorry she got caught.
