Chris Brown

Probation Revoked

That was quick -- the judge just REVOKED Chris Brown's probation in the Rihanna beating case, but the singer will remain a free man ... for now.

Brown showed up at court today to fight the L.A. County D.A.'s motion to revoke his probation in the wake of hit-and-run charges stemming from a car accident in May ... but the judge granted the motion anyway, paving the way for a probation violation hearing in August.

If the judge determines Chris violated his probation, the singer could be sentenced to 4 years in prison.

In the meantime, Brown has been released on his own recognizance.

And that's the same way he'll be driven off. Probation is a joke to him, no consequences if he breaks the rules.

I am sick and tire of these "so-called stars" getting break after break from the legal system that "normal" folks would not get. I say put his rear in jail for a few years as an example to others -- can anyone say Justin Bieber?

This fool has had too many "incidents" to remember all of the details, but how has he made it this far without his probation being revoked? Weren't the 2 bloody brawls, stolen and smashed cell phone, trashed GMA set and faked community service hours enough?

He broke the law by not handing over identification and registration because he didn't want his probation revoked. Well guess what...
