Wachowskis to Screenwriter

We Didn't Jack 'Matrix' 2 & 3

... You're Just a Hack

EXCLUSIVE

Andy
and Lana Wachowski -- the masterminds behind "The Matrix" and the cruel bastards behind its sequels -- are now firing back against the screenwriter who said they stole his ideas for Matrixes 2 & 3 ... insisting the full trilogy was their OWN terrible idea and no one else's.

TMZ broke the story ... screenwriter Thomas Althouse -- famous for writing nothing so far -- filed a $300 million lawsuit against the Wachowskis, claiming they ripped off his screenplay "The Immortals" to write "The Matrix Reloaded" and "The Matrix Revolutions."

Althouse claims he submitted "The Immortals" to Warner Bros. in 1993 but never heard back -- then noticed glaring similarities between his movie and the Matrix sequels, like plugs in the back of characters' necks and robot-like "agents."

But the Wachowskis just filed legal docs denying his claims, insisting the entirety of both movies -- all the terrible dialogue, the random fight scenes, those ghost twins, and even the orgasm cake -- was their work and their work alone. A brave admission.

The Wachowskis want Althouse's lawsuit dismissed stat. They also want him to pay for their lawyers.

Calls to Althouse were not returned.

That's weird...since they stole the whole bullet-animation concept from The Storm Rider / A Man Called Hero series

So petty to dis part 2 and 3. They were awesome, some people just don't get the biblical significance of the movies.
Instead they pretend that the Godfather was anything more than a has been tv movie.

Yet another wannabe, but why didn't he sue for $100 mil? That usually helps ensure a bit more publicity for these nobodies.

Hey, I've got an idea: boy gets girl, boy loses girl, boy gets girl. Every rom/com movie stole my idea. Where's my money?

Actually the 2nd one was a great movie and got good reviews from critics and fans, and made a boatload of money. The 3rd was rushed and wasnt good but TMZ always seems to get a story wrong and add this to the list. P.S.- Who are these losers to cut up anybody who wrote movies like the matrix sequels? Writing childish articles about celebs is the most pathetic form of writing.

Wow, as it says this guy hasn't written anything worth a crap, so his answer is to take someone else's money. Pathetic. Especially when you try to bring it up 20 years later. Get a life, loser.

LMAO whoever wrote this article , recognize and realize that these 3 "crappy" movies are more than you will accomplish in your entire lifetime. No one's going to remember some flake in the tmz office for writing a article, but the movies they'll be around forever. So to quote you "all the terrible dialogue, the random fight scenes, those ghost twins, and even the orgasm cake" were all better ideas than A TMZ career. Have fun making fun of stuff that even 10 years after its release , is still more popular than you'll ever be. Honestly Harvey, you could still a pencil up a dogs ass and what he wrote would be more coherent than this, fire this douche bag.

2 & 3 had nice moments and had their own flow but I wasn't left leaving with my jaw on the ground like "wtf I'm wowed about what I just experienced" like I did with the first film. People wanted that same wow feeling that 2 & 3 didn't deliver.

Matrix 2 was actually awesome, and has some of the best action scenes every filmed, with a mind twisting cliffhanger. The main problem with part 3 was that it didn't have any twists and didn't really follow up on the architect's speech from part 2.
