Wachowskis to Screenwriter

We Didn't Jack 'Matrix' 2 & 3

... You're Just a Hack

and Lana Wachowski -- the masterminds behind "The Matrix" and the cruel bastards behind its sequels -- are now firing back against the screenwriter who said they stole his ideas for Matrixes 2 & 3 ... insisting the full trilogy was their OWN terrible idea and no one else's.

TMZ broke the story ... screenwriter Thomas Althouse -- famous for writing nothing so far -- filed a $300 million lawsuit against the Wachowskis, claiming they ripped off his screenplay "The Immortals" to write "The Matrix Reloaded" and "The Matrix Revolutions."

Althouse claims he submitted "The Immortals" to Warner Bros. in 1993 but never heard back -- then noticed glaring similarities between his movie and the Matrix sequels, like plugs in the back of characters' necks and robot-like "agents."

But the Wachowskis just filed legal docs denying his claims, insisting the entirety of both movies -- all the terrible dialogue, the random fight scenes, those ghost twins, and even the orgasm cake -- was their work and their work alone. A brave admission.

The Wachowskis want Althouse's lawsuit dismissed stat. They also want him to pay for their lawyers.

Calls to Althouse were not returned.

Well the plugs in the neck was probably lifted from ghost in the shell, which they made no effort to hide was a big influence in the look of the movie. But who could blame them for that, ghost in the shell is awesome! :D

The real writer of the original Matrix movie (an African-American woman) won a huge payout after she successfully sued them for stealing here screenplay. Not a huge leap that they would also steal the 2nd and 3rd installment when the stole the original. You guys need to do your homework.

I say throw this lame lawsuit out. It's been a million years since The Matrix movies came out. Way too long to file a lawsuit now. They need a one year time limit on these lawsuits really. It seems like a lot of them pop up years later.

Bet they won't say that in court to Sophia Stewart because she owns what you Wachowskis don't own, the copyrights and trademarks to Matrix 1,2,3 and 4. She didn't give her work to WBs when you advertised for science fiction works, she provided her published and copyrighted literary work, "The Third Eye" to you guys, back when your sister was a man. It appears like you stole from Stewart and don't want to pay after making several billion dollars. It's never too late for criminal RICO charges.

ATTN!
Harvey, Don't believe the hype when idiots claim that they created the Matrix Trilogy. This ongoing mystery will eventually be revealed. There is only one creator of the Matrix, and it's not the Wachowski brothers or anyone else who has claimed it in the media so far. Yes, there are 2 other Matrix Movies already written. The title of the first movie is registered with The Writers Guild of America. It's called...The Matrix Back Doors. If you have any questions, call either Martin Scorsese or Joel Silver. They know the details.
