Paula Deen

Wins Racial Lawsuit

That Destroyed Her

8/12/2013 1:17 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
breaking news

0628_paula_deen_article_tmz_1In one of the most supremely ironic court decisions in a long time, a judge just threw out the racial discrimination claim filed against Paula Deen -- the very lawsuit that destroyed the famous chef.

A judge just ruled ... Lisa Jackson had no right to claim racial discrimination, BECAUSE SHE'S WHITE!  Any comments that Deen or her cohorts may have made had no legal consequence to her, because she's simply not the right color.

Jackson made a tenuous argument that someone in her family was bi-racial -- something that may not be true at all.  But the judge said even if it were true, she was at best an "accidental victim."

Short story -- Jackson ruined Paula with a bogus claim.

The case goes on, because Jackson also claims sexual discrimination, and so far there's not basis to doubt that she's a woman.

Shame on you TMZ for going for the headline grabbing title which unless you read the entire story, make people think that Paula Deen won the entire lawsuit filed against her by Ms. Jackson. People, read the entire article, not just the headline grabbing title....Paula Deen's trial is still going on, the Judge only threw out one part of the filing, that part citing racial discrimination...all other charges still stand at this time. Ms. Jackson's lawsuit regarding other charges are continuing in court. The sponsors and the Food Network that dropped Paula Deen, did so based on Paula acknowledging her use of the N word, which caused her to be dropped, the lawsuit only brought out Paula's action/language. Lawsuit is alive and well with Paula, her brother, her corporation still in the legal hot seat and facing sexual discrimination, harassment, obscenity in the workplace charges and more. Judge simply ruled that since Ms. Jackson herself is white that she couldn't have racial discrimination in the lawsuit...only if she were herself black.

Where did anyone get she was innocent.. the case was thrown out because the woman who sued her was white.

Her race should not matter if she was insulted by what was being said while she was trying to work.

I guess this will be a green light for people to tell racist jokes as long as know one being joked about is around to hear it.

If she had won on any other merit but this one it would be a victory. It just seems rather sneaky.

I am sick to death of these phony racist charges. Especially the really divisive ones that come out or Al Sharpten's and even Obama's mouths. Time for all this to STOP!

I wouldn't get to excited. Paula's mouth will get her back into trouble because she does not know how NOT to be a racist.

Counter Suit? I think Paula must! If for anything to eliminate all these frivolous claims that have the potential to destroy a persons reputation such as it did with Paula Dean. Let the person who brought the lawsuit against Paula suit their lawyer for these damages which are REAL and extensive!

Yay for Paula and for the judge for making the right choice and defending America. The people who all dumped Paula should be ashamed of themselves. I guess QVC will come crawling back to her now. She should ask for double what they gave her last time, if she even takes them back.

This lady is a fool for attacking Paula like that. She is probably just doing it to start trouble. I guess giving her a job for so many years is sexual harassment. What women is not sexually harassed anyway?

To attack Paula over these things makes no sense. If some man that works for her told a dirty joke or looked at something dirty, I don't think Paula was in on it at all. She is not some trampy woman.

I wonder how all those people and companies that rushed to judgement feel now. I will not purchase from any company that dumped Paula until they apologize and re-instate her.

TMZ ruined Paula with their first reporting of this story. Trying to blame others is pathetic.

seriously, a 30 year old statement , in her own environment, we are entitled to free speech. I am suing al Sharpton for calling me a cracker, Then I am suing all the rappers for using the N word. I hope Paula sues the food network , for not waiting for outcome of the trial. all a diversion for media to take us away from the presedential scandals and hence oprahs new racism articles. wake up, we are not dumb americans
