'ER' Star Eriq La Salle

$4 Mil Reasons

He Doesn't Need a Hit Show

8/18/2013 12:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0816_eriq_la_salle_house_launch"ER" stud Eriq La Salle has conquered TV ... TV movies ... films ... books and now, he's conquered real-estate -- unloading his Beverly Hills mansion for $4.3 MILLION MORE than he paid.

La Salle -- best known as Dr. Peter Benton on that show that launched George Clooney -- bought the casa way back in 1988 for a mere $1.7 million. He sold it this month for $6 MILLION!!!!

Our real-estate sources tell us ... Eriq chose to sell now, because he's looking to downsize.

The Tuscan-inspired villa is worth every penny ... 6,000 square feet, 4 bedrooms, 5.5 baths, pool, spa, roof top deck, wine cellar, weight room, panoramic views of LA ... not to mention Eriq had the place redone in 2006, so everything is in tip-top shape.

FUN FACT: 1988 is the same year Eriq's fist major movie -- "Coming to America" with Eddie Murphy -- hit theaters. Soul Glo, bitches ...

Wow, that is one luxurious pad. The ceilings, that fantastic tub in the master...he obviously sunk a bundle on the interior design. And it paid off in the selling price.

The house is so lovely that I'm kinda sad he's moving. But one person doesn't need that much house so I understand his decision.

You do realize that 1988 was 25 years ago, right?

As an "average" medium income person I'd love to own this home, most would. But a 25 year old home re-done 7 years ago is practically a tear down in that neighborhood. It's about the property not the dwelling.
