Paula Deen

Racial/Sexual Harassment Lawsuit Dismissed

Paula Deen
has SETTLED the lawsuit that sent her empire crashing to the ground.

Lisa Jackson -- who worked as General Manager at Uncle Bubba's Seafood and Oyster House -- filed the suit, claiming racial and sexual harassment.  The racial claim was dismissed recently because Lisa didn't have a dog in the fight -- because she's white.

Now Jackson's lawsuit has been dismissed, and all signs point to a settlement.  The terms appear to be confidential.

IF IT'S BEEN THROWN OUT SHE OWES NOTHING, AND SHE COULD/SHOULD SUE THE PERPETRATOR FOR SLANDER AND LIBEL.

Great news Paula, so many had you guilty and hung. We were standing with you. And TMZ was one of those people. They declared you guilty too.

Shame on you, TMZ. YOU were so hard on Paula, calling her a "racist.!!" LIKE none of YOU at TMZ ever said the N word. Or, ever said the C word (about women) or ever called a gay person a ***GOT.

TMZ LYNCHED Paula Deen. So go **** yourselves!

She should of settled in the first place! Not that it's right but would of caused her to lose a lot less money. Sucks that people can do that to you over more than likely nothing! Just looking for a handout!

TO NICK,
YOU ARE THE RETARDED FOOL.A do***ent filed Friday in U.S. District Court in Savannah, Ga., said both sides agreed to drop the lawsuit "without any award of costs or fees to any party."
HOPE YOU DON'T GET BORED AND HARM SOMEONE!

Meanwhile sexual assault case against Interstellar supervising art director headed to trial and still in criminal investigation against him for sexual assault of LA music award winning singer Bralalalala. While the media has largely ignored this case, this one actually tells the real story and has of course been ignored by the media who has awarded the Spider Man/Iron Man supervising art director with more work since the attack, including supervision of art and production design on Django Unchained. The director and his co defendant attorney girlfriend took down the libel site about Bralalalala they created just last month-3 years after the attack.

:Luckycat,

Nick has it right. Fees and costs mean court costs and attorneys' fees, period. Out of court settlements are a different animal.

Paula, and her corporation, are the "deep pockets" in this case. That means that they are ultimately responsible for the actions of their employees. Ms. Jackson's statements absolving Paula of wrongdoing mean nothing. Paula and/or her corporation paid for brother Bubba's wrongdoing most likely. He was the real problem.

Wow! TMZ has made no secret of the fact that they don't like Paula Deen. If anyone at TMZ actually bothered to do some research, they would have found out from sources such as the HuffPo state that both sides agreed to drop the lawsuit “without any award of costs or fees to any party.” And it was dismissed with prejudice, meaning the the same lawsuit can’t be filed again in court. If TMZ had a shred of credibility, they would either run a corrected story or an update but given the treatment she has received from TMZ, I'm not holding my breath.

I have not heard of someone agreeing to a settlement that did not include at least something for court fees. I realize that the attorney fees are seperate, and come out of the settlement. The story from People makes it sound like there is no financial settlement that benefits either party. I guess a big clue will be if the broke person begins buying items above her means.

for there to be a settlement, there was money involved, just under the table.

Directly from the HuffPo article referenced on the previous page:

"The case was dismissed "with prejudice," which means that the same suit cannot be filed in court again. The court did not award damages or fees to either party; however, the order of dismissal was filed under the name "Settlement Agreement," which could mean that it was brought about by an out of court settlement of some kind."
