2 Chainz Arrest

Cops Say Rapper's Friend

Waved Around Constitution

NEWSFLASH: holding up a copy of the U.S. Constitution in a cop's face will NOT stop him from arresting you -- at least that's what one of 2 Chainz' entourage members learned last week, shortly before he and the rapper got busted.

As we reported, 2 Chainz and ten other people on his tour bus were all arrested last week following a concert in Oklahoma City ... after police accused them of smoking weed on board.

You'll recall, cops pulled over 2 Chainz' bus because of a busted taillight, but upon approaching the vehicle ... cops say they smelled pot and attempted to search the bus.

But the driver refused to let cops on board -- and according to the police affidavit which was just released, one of the bus' passengers actually held a physical copy of the U.S. Constitution against the bus window ... "as if challenging officers" with his civil rights.

Fact is: the police DID have probable cause to enter the bus because they smelled pot and saw smoke inside ... but the rapper and his entourage decided to assert their non-existent civil liberties anyway.

In the end, officers towed 2 Chainz' bus and its passengers to a police lot -- where it sat for hours while cops obtained a search warrant -- and everyone was eventually arrested, 2 Chainz included.

The United States Constitution ... it doesn't work that way.

The real crime here is all the wasted tax dollars to bust someone with pot. Meanwhile rapists and kidnappers and murderers roam free because law enforcement is too busy with dumb stuff like this. As long as the driver was sober why does this matter?

Why are the people least knowledgeable about the Constitution always the ones proclaiming the most knowledge of it?

What kind of dummy holds up the Constitution against a tinted window and expects the Cops to see it?

2 Idiots, I mean 11 idiots (persons on board & ARRESTED), damn, can't keep it straight (ha!ha!ha! giggling), I meant 2 Chainz & his entourage should NOT have been arrested for low-level, low-priority marijuana charges but STUPIDITY charges. Yes, there's more serious criminal charges than marijuana possession. Holding up a copy of the Consititution is so absolutely funny, it's silly. No wonder the cops suspected substance use given this info (funNe). Next time, try holding up your arms, walk off the bus then quietly start praying to yourself that y'all don't get arrested. Cooperation goes a long, long way over stalling. As I said before (same story, different day), when an unavoidable encounter with police arises, let them do whatever (b/c they will anyway), politely tell them you have NO comment without an attorney present, then afterwards hire the BEST attorney possible to represent you & fight charges in court NOT on some OK roadside where cops don't give a rat's a$$ who you are & how long it takes, they always win (until court hearings, plea deals, trials, etc.) & that's where the playing field is leveled with your attorney arguing on your behalf. Sorry, that's our justice system, it's not perfect, but it is what it is.

Well TMZ, in one of your articles, you said the Cops had to go and get a search warrant. So, the Constitution must still be alive and working.

Just one question. If the cops had the right to search the bus then why did it sit for hours while they obtained a search warrant?
