Ex-Patriots Star Brian Holloway

Neighbors Call B.S.

On House-Trashing

9/22/2013 12:50 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

The plot thickens in the story of ex-New England Patriots player Brian Holloway ... who went ballistic after his New York home was trashed by a horde of rowdy, drunken teen vandals.  Turns out the house was already in disrepair and in FORECLOSURE, and his neighbors smell a rat.

TMZ has learned ... Holloway owes a whopping $1,006,348.80 on the house ... it appears he was delinquent on paying his mortgage and the bank then demanded payment of the entire balance.

Brian hasn't lived in the home for a long time -- he's in Florida -- and neighbors tell us they thought the house was abandoned.  In fact, before the blow-out bash, neighbors say kids staged a number of parties in the house -- which has no furniture.

Neighbors think the kids who Brian is now attacking are getting a bad rap.  They say there was already plenty of damage to the home before the party in question -- broken doors and damaged floors.  And ... there was plenty of preexisting graffiti covering the walls.

Some neighbors are suspicious of Brian's motive in requesting financial help to pay for repairs on his PayPal account.  They think he's trying to create sympathy so money floods in and he can save his house.

As for Brian ... he tells TMZ there was some preexisting damage, but the 300 hooligans really trashed his crib.  He also says he's been trying to renegotiate with the bank for 2 years.

The clock is ticking -- the foreclosure sale is set for Oct. 29.

Wonder how many of the neighbors had kids or know someone that had kids that partied there. Sorry but there are any number of homes in this Country under Foreclosure and until that final paper is filed no one knows the ins & outs of what may be going on. It is also no excuse for trashing a place

This should not excuse the damage they did to this property! These people should be brought up on charges of destruction of property, no matter who owns it! Why do so many parents cover for their children, especially when they commit crimes? Where is the personal responsibility for their behavior?

It doesn't matter if the house is in foreclosure or not, these kids broke in(apparently this wasn't the first time) and they are the criminals. Would it somehow be more okay if someone was living there? They are the idiots who posted all over social media exactly where they were and what they were doing. I have no sympathy for these kids. They broke the law. Their parents obviously lost control a long time ago and know their kids are going to be facing legal troubles, so they are trying to turn it around on Mr. Holloway. His financial situation is not the issue here, it's the fact that these a-hole kids think it's perfectly fine to break in and trash a house. I guess for parents who don't teach right from wrong and that actions have consequences, this seems unfair and heavy handed.

all about the money

Whatever the story...foreclosure, ex wife revenge, the kids went into a house that wasn't theirs and partied. Now its been over 20 years since I went to a highschool pary, but even back in my day...we were a bit distructive at house parties. The fact that neighboors knew about this and continued to allow underaged kids to party in their neighboorhood to me speaks volumes for the area. Makes you wonder if they would be so willing to accept it if they went on vacation and came back to a trashed party house. Yea maybe the kids are catching the blame but again they went into someplace that was not theirs nor had permission to be in and trashed the place. They were wrong and ended up being the ones "caught" so to speak. Kids still have a responsiblity or are we not teaching kids to be responsible any more?

im guessing many of the neighbors kids were at the party so this is their attack on him

Your S&M Girlfriend

Maybe they're right but unless they can back it up with pictures the only pictures that exist are those of the little criminals destroying, stealing (little bitch holding the marker from his grandson's gravestone), and generally trashing the place. So it looks like he wins.

He still owns the house regardless. Irresponsible parents trying to shift the blame on their irresponsible kids. Anyway, I'm sure Holloway is pocketing the money for donations, on this underwater albatross.

This story sounds like BS. I bet these so-called neighbors are the parents of some of the brats who wrecked the house.

So what that there is foreclosure proceedings happening! Who are these neighbors? If you look at an aerial view of Mr. Holloway's home...there are no neighbors. Sounds like the "neighbors" have kids that were there! I'm surprised that TMZ didn't name their sources. Busy bodies is what I'm thinking....busy bodies with kids who were there!

Regardless if the house is in foreclosure or he hasn't lived in it for over a year, the kids still trashed it. Unless they were invited they were breaking and entering (a felony) and are at fault.

F*#k these 'So Called' Parents....
F*#k these PUnK AzZ Kids....
STILL 'PRIVATE PROPERTY'... they trespassed, broke an entering, caused damage.

THOSE are the FACTS and they & 'So Called' Parents should PAY!
They BROKE THE LAW........... Period!

The New Improved Sock Puppet

All over America there are houses going into foreclosure where thieves rip out copper plumbing and wiring and take anything of value, causing all kinds of damage and destruction. I guess those neighbors think that's okay because those houses are in foreclosure? I'll vet some of their kids are in those pictures.

It doesn't matter. The kids were trespassing any which way. Do they own it? Do the neighbors own it? No - trespassing. They all sound like spoiled brats. The parents are probably just as bad as the kids.

Take it to court. Get some sane minded people on the jury. Sue them for everything they have now, and everything they will have in the future. win. pay off your house...

These parents don't see what's right in front of them. Whether the house is in foreclosure or not and whether the house is in disrepair inside is no one's business. These kids still entered someone's home and destroyed things. They had no right to do so. That the parents don't hold their teens feet to the fire only goes to show that its never my kid. Watch when said teens move on to bigger and better things. This is small stuff. When these parents have to bail their lovelies out of jail...then what will they say. Disgusting...just disgusting. The parents of these teens should also be held responsible. The parents should not point to this ex-football player...they should take a good look at themselves and their off-spring. Shameful!
