'50 Shades' & Playboy Are Both Porn

... and I Support Both!

If a woman can read "Fifty Shades of Grey" in public ... then a man should able to peruse a "Playboy" wherever he wants, so says famed author Anne Rice who tells TMZ she supports PORN EQUALITY!

Anne is a literary titan -- penning the books behind "Interview with the Vampire" and "Queen of the Damned" -- and she's also big into erotica.

So, when we asked her why the social standards are different regarding the two publications -- Anne is clear, she thinks society should  embrace both literary AND visual porn .. saying, "fantasy and pornography and erotica are wonderful."

Since Ann started her career writing porn I am not surprised. She is probably thinking of dusting off some old work and publishing it.

Scary

Uh, because one has photos. No one sitting next to you on the bus or at Starbucks really wants to look over and see the porn photos you're leering at. Now, if you want to actually read something instead, that's pretty inoffensive. If you're in public, you should be considerate of others and really think about the fact that there are families and children around, most of the time.

The problem with that, is that women don't perv men in public, but men do.

Considering she wrote the best erotic novel ever (Exit to Eden - not at ALL like the cheesy copy flick), it's almost sad to see her support 50 Shades. 50 Shades is drivel compared to E2E.

I agree...but not it public where children can see it. Thats the difference with "visual" porn. I don't care what book your reading, but my children don't need to see a money shot on the bus !

Anne Rice has a trilogy called "Beauty", "Beauty Punishment" and "Beauty Released", it is a twisted BDSM tale of Sleeping Beauty. Her novels also differ from her movies (just like King's). There is much naughty behavior in her books. "Witching Hour" has tons of sexual content with in that ties the family of Queen of the Damned and Interview with a Vampire together. I <3 her mind!

The New Improved Sock Puppet

I'm kind of disappointed. She wrote what is one of the hottest trilogies of S&M out there. That's kind of her but I ain't buying it for a minute.
