-- Good news for CB ... the judge just approved Brown's request ... he won't have to go to D.C.

Chris Brown
just asked the judge in his assault case in Washington D.C. to give him a pass and NOT make him appear Monday in court so he can stay in inpatient anger management rehab.

Brown's lawyer, Mark Geragos, just filed legal docs -- obtained by TMZ -- asking the judge for the break.  D.C. criminal courts require a defendant's presence even in misdemeanor cases.

Brown is kind of between a rock and a hard place, because a California judge has ordered him to stay put in rehab for 90 days.

Geragos says in the docs he reached out to the prosecutors to see if they were on board with Brown skipping the hearing, but he says he was told, no dice.

So Geragos has made his case.

Hmmm, tough position to be in. Must be very stressful and unpleasant. Maybe he shouldn't have been such an ass hole and not broken the law. See how that works? No mercy for this violent douche.

Geragos knows, or should know, that even when you are in prison you must still go to court and make all required court appearances and ESPECIALLY if he is out on bail. If Chris doesn't show up to court, his bail is going to be revoked and everyone with a brain knows that.

Why does anyone hire Mark Geragos? Does he ever win his case? He seems to at least lose the big ones. That should tell you something. Find a better lawyer.

Why doesn't his lawyer just ask for a continuance and the hearing would br postponed til he gets outta rehab?! Obviously if someone is court ordered to a rehab facility, they can't appear in court in another state during that time

Don't give him a break. That is the problem with all these idiots. They always get a break. If it was any of us "commoners", you can bet your ass , we would have to show up!!!!!!

The Truth

Chris has not picked or checked into a Rehab Facility yet so this is all BS. He is afraid they might throw his ass in jail in DC.

Ah he'll be alright. Unless he quits paying his taxes. Celebrities only go to jail if they don't pay their taxes.
