Paul Walker Crash

The Moment Of Impact & Massive Inferno

12/2/2013 6:07 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

The high speed crash that killed Paul Walker and Roger Rodas caused a huge explosion and fireball that could be seen for miles ... and it was all recorded on a security camera that captured the precise moment of impact.

The footage was recorded from a rooftop camera in an industrial park next to the crash site. It shows the initial collision (on the right of the screen) which caused the Porsche to explode in flames ... moments before another, larger blast sends a fireball high into the sky.

What's also interesting -- there appears to be no other cars either immediately in front of or behind the Porsche at the time of the crash.

As we reported, police were investigating whether Rodas had been involved in a high-speed street race before the accident.

I had seen a pic of a photo of the same spot where they crashed into, I guess from Google maps. There was a gas line or pipe, whatever they're called. Maybe that's why there was a fireball or explosion?

Right back at ya

I did not watch the Video. Seriously, does TMZ need ratings, to the point where they have to share this horrific ending, of two Men's lives? And to the dumb ****S and Ignoramuses who leave such insensitive , beyond stupid Comments (i.e., Cremation, they effin' deserved what they got, bye-bye to trash, etc.), grow a Spine, you idiots; how would you feel if something tragic happened to a Family or Friend of yours? Would you being so willing and anxious to shoot your Mouth off and say something so heartless and moronic? Don't think so! And how much time do YOU spend, helping with Organizations and Charitable events that help People in need, like these two Gentleman were doing, that Day?

it's sad this tragedy had to occur but it did - there's no way around it. Regardless of how you look at it, ultimately is was the speed that resulted in this accident. It doesn't matter if there was a problem with the steering or not (as it's been reported elsewhere) - had the driver not been going so fast this could have been avoided.
.
It's sad that TMZ finds it necessary to post the video of the actual crash happening but then again they posted the Jeret Peterson suicide phone call so this comes as no shock.

It's all about the "hits", right Harvey?

Not to be cynical this time: i hope these guys were so fast, that they didn't survive the impact or at least were unconscious before the fire burned their bodies.

Ok, to all the people that are complaining... TMZ is a business, they're here to make money, and these are the stories that get all the clicks. Do they care about disrespecting anyone? Of course not, and I wouldn't expect them too. Again, TMZ is here to make a profit!

TMZ there was a car behind him after the crash. Do you not watch the videos you post. That car showed up way to quick. So sad.

All the pearl-clutchers who clicked over and here then took the time to post their faux outrage are a joke.
