Paul Walker Crash

The Moment Of Impact & Massive Inferno

12/2/2013 6:07 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

The high speed crash that killed Paul Walker and Roger Rodas caused a huge explosion and fireball that could be seen for miles ... and it was all recorded on a security camera that captured the precise moment of impact.

The footage was recorded from a rooftop camera in an industrial park next to the crash site. It shows the initial collision (on the right of the screen) which caused the Porsche to explode in flames ... moments before another, larger blast sends a fireball high into the sky.

What's also interesting -- there appears to be no other cars either immediately in front of or behind the Porsche at the time of the crash.

As we reported, police were investigating whether Rodas had been involved in a high-speed street race before the accident.

so sad.

I pray they were deceased before that fire engulfed them. It's horrifying to think otherwise. Also, I'm curious how often Porsches catch fire after a collision. Since the fuel tank is in front, I'd imagine its not that uncommon

Paul Walker's car wasn't racing, source says; speed in curve may have been a factor
The Porsche that actor Paul Walker was riding in when he died on Saturday was traveling at approximately 40 to 45 mph when it came to a bend in the road where the speed limit drops to about 15 mph, a law enforcement official familiar with the investigation told NBC News on Monday. It was in that vicinity where the driver, Roger Rodas, apparently lost control of the vehicle, ending in the fiery solo accident, the source said.

Walker, 40, and Rodas, 38, were killed at the scene, police said. Their autopsies were put on hold Monday, as the Los Angeles Medical Examiner's Office waits for dental X-rays for each man to aid in making the official identifications, said Craig Harvey, chief of the coroner's operations bureau.

Some people are saying its okay to speed when test driving. Who are those morons? Do you really think it's good to go above the speed limit in a car you don't own? If anything, you'd be more careful. And if this car was malfunctioning, wouldn't it be rather dumb to be speeding in it?
The driver screwed up. It's not clear if the passenger was of any help either.

I wouldn't be surprised if TMZ posted autopsy photos next... That's how LOW they are. Anything for views, for a dollar. Wonder how much those 2 guys in the blue car were paid for that first video. Revolting.
