'Fast and Furious 7' Director

We Will Finish Making the Movie

12/7/2013 9:29 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

120713_james_wan_launchPaul Walker's death may have put a halt to production on "Fast and Furious 7" ... but last night the movie's director told us there are absolutely no plans to abandon the flick.

A somber James Wan was leaving LAX when he told us how the cast and crew are holding up after Paul's death a week ago ... and assured us 'F&F 7' is still a go.

Wan didn't offer details on how he'll complete the movie, but there would seem to be only two options:

1) Keep the footage they've already shot of Paul, and write out his character, Brian O'Conner.

2) Rewrite the whole thing without Brian O'Conner and shoot the movie from scratch.

Got another idea?  Write it in the comments.

Clearly, any option will require extensive script changes, so ... it remains unclear how long Universal will have to postpone production.

How else is someone in a movie about fast cars suppose to die? Everyone's all it would be tacky. Hmmm what? Its a movie about fast cars! Second dont accuse them of just wanting to,continue because they, wanna make money. They knew him alot better than we did and they've all said he would want it to continue. Working with him for 7+ yrs these people seem like they generally cared about him. Stop making everything negative. Hr needs to be kept in the final movie. Or maybe if they redo it they could give copies of the footage he did already to his family.

Rewrite the script but keep as much footage as possible of Paul (what they can't use keep as DVD extras). Have his character assassinated by Jason Staham's character. Close out the FF series as a tribute to Paul.

Of course they'll finish it. They'll make about 30 more of these before they realize it's time to stop.

Keep all his footage and write him out. You can't do this movie without showing him. He loved making those movies it would almost be disrespectful to him if they went another way with it.

I think it would be more respectful if they wrote his death in and had a funeral in the movie. Like maybe he dies in the middle of the movie, life lost in a fiery car crash. Vin Diesel tries to get to him but the car explodes. slow motion running and crying. Vin holds mia backfrom trying to go near the burning car. Theres no time to mourn. they must turn their sadness into anger and get revenge on the people who caused this. They must finish the mission to honor his memory. Action and racing ensues. A short moment where tyrese is chasing Jason Statham. he says This is for you Brian and rams his car into jason Statham. His car flips and in midair theres a flashback to the lunch during fast 6. Tyrese says a prayer. ends flashback. tyrese awakes to waht sounds like brians voice calling his name. He pulls himself out of the car. mission accomplished. Final scene: Cemetery. closed casket funeral. Silent. Each person places a rose on the top of the casket except for vin. He walks up to teh casket. A flashback of the you owe me a 10 second car scene plays. Vin places a set of car keys on top of the casket and walks away. The team is seen walking from the grave site in classic action movie slow motion. A series of brightly colored race cars lines the edge of the lawn. each memeber gets in their car and drives off. One car is left sitting there. A flashback shows it is the car that paul walker is first seen driving in fast 1 The scene shows teh car driving off into the sunset. The screen fades to the black and IN loving memory of paul walker shows on the screen

the movie should start out back in SoCal with brian saying "Dom I got your 9 sec car" and Dom says "is that right sweetheart" Pull up to the same exact redlight and street at part1 but this time brian tells dom about the quarter mile of the street as if to say hes the pro. They take off to race the 1/4 mile and the train is coming again, but this time (the train) clips paul walker's car and he takes out vin and they both die together as brothers. I could elaborate way more but thats my idea 210 6392550

Here is what the writers can do ... INSTEAD in writing off Han's character, they write off walker's character, make it an accident that teh team learns towards the end that was NOT an accident and have letty be behind the whole thing and write it in for the next movie F8 ...
