Paul Walker

Crash Investigation Ongoing

Report Blaming Speed Alone Is Bogus

12/18/2013 3:39 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF
breaking news

A new report blaming Paul Walker's fatal car accident on excess speed alone is false -- multiple informed law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

The Associated Press is running a story that investigators have already concluded there was NO EVIDENCE Paul's Porsche had mechanical problems at the time of the crash.

According to the report, investigators believe Paul's friend Roger Rodas was simply driving way too fast ... and that's what led to the November 30 crash in Santa Clarita, which killed both Walker and Rodas. The report says the investigation also ruled out debris in the road as a possible cause for the car losing control.

But we've learned that's not true -- multiple law enforcement sources familiar with the investigation tell us, the investigation is ongoing and NO determinations have been made regarding the cause.

We broke the story ... the L.A. County Sheriff's Dept. has summoned Porsche engineers from Germany to come here and examine what's left of the engine, brakes and tires in an effort to determine the cause of the accident.

Do you really need German engineers to fly here and tell you that the car was blown up by something other than bad driving? I heard it might have been a directed energy weapon. All of the newer model cars have microchips in them that can maybe be remotely accessed to cause a malfunction or perhaps even an explosion.

This is what all the evidence supports here. Any forensics 101 person could tell you that it was not caused by speed alone, if at all.

So you're saying he's still dead.

The car was flying. That's a given. Something on the car failed. It doesn't have to break away from the car. A shock that breaks will make the car swerve. Driver corrects, the car goes the other way. But here comes that tree. Just look at Nascar when a car just starts sliding out. A front tire could have simply gone flat.

No Harvey, you are wrong, it was speed and speed alone. Why do you have such sympathy for two rich morons that drove over 100 mph in a 35 and killed themselves?

Why doesn't the LA County Sherriffs dept investigate murders, rape, domestic violence, child endangerment, etc...instead of spending more time on this?

More bull**** "reporting" from TMZ. Why would the Sheriffs office need engineers from Porsche in Germany to examine any part of the car? There are certified crash experts, certified Porsche engineers and accident reconstructionists right here who could examine the car. Unless it was made from some composite materials that is proprietary to Porsche, metal is metal and rubber is rubber and the striking of a light pole by a metal object whether Porsche or Schwin does not need specialists from Germany. You guys are so fanciful that you actually believe your own ****.

I've decided that the main reason TMZ is milking PW's death is because the Fast and Furious franchise is on what, 7 now? That means every time a new sequel comrs out, which they will forever, TMZ can just recycle all P W stories, thereby leaving themselves plenty of time to sit around viewing gay porn.

RIP Paul Walker - but one can only wonder if there would be this much investigating had he been a 'regular Joe'.
