'Duck Dynasty'

A&E Publicist MIA

When Phil Went Off On Gays!

12/20/2013 4:00 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

If you asked yourself "Where was the publicist?" when "Duck Dynasty" star Phil Robertson went off on gays during his big interview with GQ magazine ... TMZ now has the answer ... the publicist was not there!

Sources very familiar with the situation tell us ... a publicist did indeed accompany Robertson to the interview -- per A&E's rigid PR policy -- and the interview took place in several locations.  When the GQ reporter and Phil hopped on ATVs, the publicist didn't come along for the ride.

We're told it was then the reporter apparently saw an opening and Phil made his incendiary anti-gay comments

It's pretty shocking ... because Phil is widely known as a loose cannon ... so it's a little like playing Russian Roulette to let him gallivant off with a reporter.

"incendiary anti-gay", So? TMZ seems awfully anti-heterosexual these days. This is what the man believes. If you don't, too bad. That's the way it is. Do gays really think everyone agrees with their lifestyle? The majority do not. Do they really think they are going to force people to agree with their choices? Not gonna happen.

So being a Christian , Bible believer (I laugh at those who pretend they were shocked at the language he used) is not civil, but I bet you believe Mile, Kim K , Kanye and the rest are so civil and moral. Sick

So just to be clear, no one cares about what he said about Black people? The comments about how entitlement and welfare took away their happiness and singing couldn't possibly be the reason why A&E suspended (not fired) him?

Well, you people need to decide whether you're pissed and offended that Phil feels that way or that he said he feels that way. Because his beliefs are the same regardless of whether he makes them known to the public or not. So if you're calling him a homophobe because he said something homosexually offensive then don't sit there and blame a publicist for allowing him to have said it. If the publicist had stopped him from saying it.....it wouldn't have changed a thing. He still felt that way. That's like shooting the messenger.
Phil has a right to feel any way he wants and what this whole thing is about is the fact that people who are staunch supporters of cause organizations (Harvey) are pissed that he feels that way and are condemning him for what is clearly his right.
Here's one for you to ponder about. I don't have a problem with GAY men and GAY women. If two people of the same sex want to get together and they love each other ....so what. More power to them. Now what I can't stand is a flaming sissy male acting like a teenage girl. I can't stand a woman dressing up like chopping off her hair like and acting like a man. It looks like each sex is trying miserably to impersonate the other. Let's spell it out. Neil Patrick Harris and Kevin Spacey...cool. I have no problem with. They conducts themselves like a normal male. (and yes Spacey IS gay) Chris Crocker and Parez Hilton... make me sick to my stomach. It's guys prancing around acting like Richard Simmons that disgust me. I couldn't care less who they sleep with. It's a person "acting" like a villiage idiot that gets on my nerves. Even woman don't act so prissy like a flaming gay man. It's comical, yet no one is supposed to laugh. It's awkward having a conversation with someone who looks like they're putting on a freaking comedic show impersonating a teen girl. And for that, there will always be people laughing at and grossed out by gays people. It's a person's personal behavior and conduct I don't like. Not who they choose to share their lives and beds with.

I think most people would get along with gays but they're so insistent that we accept what they do, which I think most people find it disturbing and GROSS, that they're turning people against them. I don't need to see men kissing each other, it makes my stomach turn. A lot of people I know do not agree with them, and not because of their religious views, but because it's just plain disgusting. You can't make me change, remember? I was born this way, too. It's not a choice, I can't help how I feel. The uglier you anything-goes people get towards those who are unhappy about what happened to Phil Robertson have only made it worse for yourselves. Less people are wanting to accept them because you guys are become so darn moron about it. And then if that's not enough you liberals want to sleep around, kill unborn babies, and live off the government - and yet you want respect??! When y'all have grown up you'll likely look back and regret most of the things you did with your "freedom". All of you intolerant "liberals" need a good dose of reality, integrity, responsibility, and self-respect. Ask Santa for that for Christmas so you can start the new year with your heads screwed on right. STOP pushing people if you don't want to get pushed back. WE are the ones who don't have tolerate YOUR intolerance.

He said absolutely nothing wrong. The people who have an issue with what he said, they are the problem.

I can't wait for the next bombshell... How many times they have used the "N" word in the past... 'cause if the hate is there for gays, it's most certainly there for blacks.

I'm impressed that the writer of this TMZ article working in Hollywood used the word "galavant". He must have been doing his research about how Southern people talk and watched a couple of episodes of the show.

Beliefs should not be directed with such hate. It is not the comments that he said that are that upsetting versus the comments made here. You hide behind a screen typing away your pathetic hate thinking it's funny but doubt you'd ever say it to someone in person. This really no longer has anything to do with his comments but the bandwagon of ignorance

Phil is a college educated adult, he shouldn't need a minder in work situations. He deserves to be fired.

I'm so sick of this story....... He said what he said & everyone is justified in having an opinion of literally ANYTHING! HOWEVER, if it's not 'PC', then we can't express it publicly! Unfortunately, this guy didn't get the memo...... Time to let up on this guy....JMO

We need another plague!
There are way too many stupid humans on earth.

I do feel packing poop is morally wrong, but that's my opinion.

I feel that gays are here for a reason...
Our earth is now over populated. Can you imagine a world of breeders?
