Cracker Barrel

We Know How the Wind Blows

Phil's Products are Back

Cracker Barrel execs have cracked after just one day ... lifting their ban on Phil Robertson's merchandise ... and it's the ultimate hypocrisy.

A CB rep now says the company had no choice but to cave after "Duck Dynasty" fans blasted them via email, phone and social media.

Cracker Barrel decided to pull the products because it was so concerned about "equal treatment of all people" and "mutual respect."  In other words, they felt Phil was loathsome.

But so much for principles when the almighty dollar gets in the way.  Cracker Barrel now says, "You told us we made a mistake and you weren't shy about it ... you flat out told us we were wrong."

And this is precious ... They say, "We apologize for offending you."

So here's the upshot.  On Saturday Cracker Barrel apparently felt Phil had offended gays and that's why they took a stand.  But 24 hours later they realized a bigger problem than offending gays is offending customers who pay for CB stuff.

So now the CB rep took the position the company should have taken in the first place:  "We respect all individuals' rights to express their beliefs."

How do CB execs move from office to office ... hard to do when you don't have a spine.

So, Cracker Barrel doesn't mind offending gays and all of us who feel gays are as deserving of basic human respect as anyone else.

There are plenty of other places to eat and buy hokey fake "country products", mostly made in China. I'l be patronizing them.

I wonder how Phil and the rest of the family are going to react when one of the grandkids gets the nerve to come out and admit they are gay. You know it's gonna happen, probably during sweeps week next season.

Wow TMZ, way to be on the attack, should we just Paula Deen him and everyone drop him? It's the companies choice if they want to still hold their own products, remember A&E hasn't completely dropped him or the show completely, yet, what your doing is no better than the things Phil said, you're being a bully, it doesn't matter who or why you bully it's the same thing.

Honestly who gives a ****? Anyone intelligent knows that based on his upbringing he doesn't know any better. The guy is a multimillionaire and he lives in a modest place doesn't flaunt and gives to his community on a regular basis. Why dwell on the faults ? I'd be more happy , happy , happy just acknowledging that he's a good person at heart and we don't have to worry about him shooting up any place soon .

Should add that the only reason tmz continues to milk this stuff is cause Harvey is gay himself ! If he wasn't he would just sweep this under the rug

Um, when did TMZ change their stance on the whole Duck Dynasty controversy? A few days ago they were wanting Phil's hide for his "shameful" views. Now they seem to be saying he has a right to voice his beliefs. Did TMZ flip flop after they saw America was upset that Phil was being railroaded for voicing his religious beliefs?
