Cracker Barrel

We Know How the Wind Blows

Phil's Products are Back

Cracker Barrel execs have cracked after just one day ... lifting their ban on Phil Robertson's merchandise ... and it's the ultimate hypocrisy.

A CB rep now says the company had no choice but to cave after "Duck Dynasty" fans blasted them via email, phone and social media.

Cracker Barrel decided to pull the products because it was so concerned about "equal treatment of all people" and "mutual respect."  In other words, they felt Phil was loathsome.

But so much for principles when the almighty dollar gets in the way.  Cracker Barrel now says, "You told us we made a mistake and you weren't shy about it ... you flat out told us we were wrong."

And this is precious ... They say, "We apologize for offending you."

So here's the upshot.  On Saturday Cracker Barrel apparently felt Phil had offended gays and that's why they took a stand.  But 24 hours later they realized a bigger problem than offending gays is offending customers who pay for CB stuff.

So now the CB rep took the position the company should have taken in the first place:  "We respect all individuals' rights to express their beliefs."

How do CB execs move from office to office ... hard to do when you don't have a spine.

The First Amendment does not mean you have the right to a show on A&E. I'm sure those duckhunt dirt urchins signed a public representation contract with Disney/A&E. I wouldn't be surprised if Cracker Barrel executives planned this reversal before taking down the merchandise, to give those drooling bigoted remipedes a victory to gloat over after their initial hysteria, and afterwards run and stuff their fat faces at Cracker Barrel and feel like they've won.

and this is why "we the people" should never be able to vote on the civil rights of others. Most people supporting this cretin have no idea ALL the vile things he says.

Why are so many Bible thumping gay haters on the TMZ boards? You know this is a celebrity gossip site run by a gay guy, right?

You say "hypocrites" as if this is coming from the hearts of the people running these companies. Do you really think Cracker Barrel or most for-profit companies out there give two farts about gay rights and whether whatever group is offended. Oh, hell no. They care about their bottom line. And understandably so. It's competitive out there. So no, they aren't being "hypocrites". Not even close. At first they wanted to pull the product because they were afraid of a financial backlash if they continued to sell the stuff. Then they realized the wind was actually really blowing the other way and realized they better get that **** back out there.
