Paul Walker

Autopsy Report

Horrifying Injuries

1/3/2014 1:15 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

1214-paul-walker-tmz-2

Paul Walker's entire body was charred through the skin it was burned so badly ... this according to the autopsy ... burned so bad none of his organs were suitable for donation.

According to the report ... obtained by TMZ ... Walker's body was laying supine in the passenger seat in a "pugilistic stance" -- that's a defensive position, as if he were bracing himself for impact.

He had multiple fractures throughout his body, including his jaw, collarbone, and left upper arm.  There were also various ribs and pelvic fractures.

The report concludes Walker died from "combined effects of traumatic and thermal injuries" sustained from the Nov. 30 crash in Santa Clarita, CA.

According to the report, the L.A. County Coroner is preserving portions of Paul's organs in a jar -- sources tell us tissues are kept for a certain period of time in case of lawsuits.

Roger Rodas -- the driver -- suffered major head trauma with the top portion of his skull fractured and his brain exposed.

No alcohol or drug traces were found in either body.

The report also says there was "scant soot in Walker's trachea" -- suggesting he took a few breaths after impact.  Sources close to the investigation, however, tell TMZ, they believe both men died almost immediately.

And the report goes on ... Paul had 14% carbon monoxide saturation in his blood stream ... the normal level is 2%.  Roger had 10%.

According to the report ... after impact the car spun 180 degrees, struck a tree and nearly tore in half before exploding in flames.

Come on Hollywood ( media) stop making this guy out like he's some saint. They were speeding, he died while the car was speeding.. He is dead. Put it this way, if he wasn't being such a macho speed freak he would still be here. End of story.

What an awful way to die. The sad truth is the accident was totally avoidable.

WoW...Those guys were so lame! And what sissies! One guy kept saying "no Drive away, it might blow up!" instead of getting out and at LEAST trying to see if someone was in there. Or see at LEAST IF they could possibly do something! They and that woman just stand around chatting about it. How sad. A mere attempt beats nothing at all.

I don't buy the b.s either. First of all, Walkers body is not going to be in the same position it was before impact (bracing himself) after being thrashed around in a car, spun and hitting light poles and two trees. He wouldnt have had any control over his body movement once they lost control of the car. We know he died of injuries and was probaby unconscious but alive when the car went into flames....there is no need to beat a dead horse for ratings or a story. Let it go.

This is not News of any sort. TMZ, be responsible and remove this article immediately. You must respect life and death. Otherwise, people will stop paying attention to anything carrying your logo. I know I will...

Pugilsitic, nor supine means fetal position. lol...there is no way he would be in the same position he was in before impact....this is so ridiculous. At over 100 mph, they hit a curb, spin out of control, hit a light pole, and two trees...yet he was in the same position the whole time....I don't think so. I do think he might have been alive, but unconscious when the car caught fire. However, if his body had any stance, it was a reaction...most likely, unconscious one...and that would explain why he had some soot....but he was already dying or else there would have been alot of soot from panic and breathing heavily. This is so sad, that people have to plant seeds of ghore into peoples heads for a story.

Also, Paul Walker was not trying to get out of the car. If you read any of the witnesses and friends statements, you would know that he was unconscious when his friend was trying to get him out of the wreckage. It does not sound like either one of these guys would have lived anymore than a few minutes even if the car did not catch fire.

Honestly, I'm glad to know that no drugs or alcohol were involved. I've always liked Mr. Walker, always thought he was one of the good guys. I would hate for my opinion of him to be tarnished with something as stupid as drinking and driving.

Why does the cause of death seem so important to the media? Let's say his blood alcohol was three-times the limit, he had crack cocaine in his pocket and an ounce of Marijuana in his jacket. What difference does it make to anyone except those who want to judge him? He died in a crash that nobody could survive. Let it go!

The true cause of death is competing for the Darwin Award, which they did win. It's just lucky that they didn't kill any innocent bystanders in the process. Take that crap to a race track where it belongs.
