Selena Gomez

Blames Her Rehab Stint On Justin Bieber

2/5/2014 6:44 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF
Exclusive Details

Selena Gomez went to rehab last month ... and sources connected with the singer say she blames Justin Bieber for her predicament.

We've learned Gomez went to The Meadows in Arizona for 2 weeks of treatment.

Sources say Selena went for a combination of problems, including alcohol, pot and prescription Ambien.  She's also addicted to Justin Bieber.

We're told Selena's decision was largely based on "that crazy boy" -- aka Bieber.  Selena blames a lot of her problems on the excesses she was exposed to by being around Bieber and his buddies.

Sources close to Gomez tell us ... people in Selena's camp went ballistic when they found out she was hanging out again with Justin ... and saw photos of her joyriding with him on Segways. We're told that was the final straw -- she checked into rehab immediately after that.

The 2-week treatment was part of a program called DAWN at The Meadows ... specifically designed for people between 18 and 26.  DAWN specializes in substance dependence, trauma, family dynamics, mental health and relapse prevention.

We're told Selena is not getting outpatient help now nor is she in therapy.

Is it his fault too. That she lost her virginity? She always claimed . She is a virgin. What a joke.

seriously doubt she has real issues with any of those things because if she did two weeks wouldn't cut it

Ambien is one very addictive, dangerous medicine, prescribed or not. I once worked at a pharmaceutical co. and people who were prescribed Ambien would call, freaking out cause they wanted their scrip earlier than scheduled, and hadn't slept in days without it. If JB is doing that stuff w/o a doctor's supervision, watch out.

Wow ...

Good for Selena, she got help. Now she has to stay away from all the losers who think it is cool to get high. Drugs will take ya down a long dark and dirty road leading to prison or death - unless you get sober.

It's behavior and consequences like this that are going to ruin it for people who want to legalize pot. They all started out smoking weed and now you can see they're into bigger stuff. Bad advertisement for a gateway drug.

Then quit going back to him you stupid twit! I don't feel sorry for her. She knows what he does and she is old enough to know what she was doing. Glad she got some hep, but 2 weeks is not enough time to get the help needed. If she really wants to be rehabilitated she will not have anything to do with J.B. anymore.

A 2-week program sounds like a vacation from reality, not rehab.

They only went public with this because her publicist was afraid that after the texts S sent to Justin telling him he needs rehab that Justin's camp was gonna out Selena for going to rehab first. Justin's people will do anything to place blame of HIS behavior on anyone else but himself.

Chill with Beiber for the weekend end up in rehab lol

Sure it was her decision to do or not do whatever D.B. Biebs was doing. Hanging around the wrong people, in time, can make the strongest person weak. If you ever go through rehab, the first thing they tell you is to sever all ties to "corrupting forces".
