Sued By Transgender Athlete

You Wont' Let Me Compete With Women!

3/6/2014 12:12 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

A transgender woman is going to war with CrossFit -- claiming the fitness titans refused to let her compete in the women's division at the upcoming CrossFit Games because she was born with a penis ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Chloie Jonnson has filed a $2.5 MILLION lawsuit against CF -- claiming she underwent sex reassignment surgery in 2006 and is legally recognized as a woman by the State of California.

But when Chloie -- 5'4", 151 lbs -- asked the powers that be about competing in the Games with the ladies, she was shot down hard.

In fact, TMZ Sports obtained a letter from CrossFit to Chloie in which the CF pulled no punches -- "We have simply ruled that based upon [Chloie] being born as a male, she will need to compete in the Men's Division."

CF argues ... "The fundamental, ineluctable fact is that a male competitor who has a sex reassignment procedure still has a genetic makeup that confers a physical and physiological advantage over women."

But in the letter, CF gets aggressive -- saying, "Our decision has nothing to do with 'ignorance' or being bigots -- it has to do with a very real understanding of the human genome, of fundamental biology, that you are either intentionally ignoring or missed in high school."

Chloie says CF is full of crap -- claiming the company is violating her civil rights by not letting her compete as a woman ... and she wants at least $2.5 million to make things right.

For its part, CrossFit says transgendered athletes will be "welcomed with open arms in this community, but what we will not waver from is our commitment to ensure the fairness of the competition."

The Truth

It has to compete with males. Go play tennis if you want to play against woman just like the Williams brothers have been allowed to do.

I hope Chloie becomes a 2.5 millionaire very soon. She is a brave and kick ass female. Keep doing you, Chloie!

It's stupid to let transgender males compete with females, especially the fighters; some just do it because they get off on beating up women.

If you want to be respected, then be who you are. You're a woman in a guys body. There's millions of people who deal with the cards they're dealt. Besides, suing for millions just makes you greedy.

So the problem I've had with this whole issue is when you register for the Open, you sign up as a male or female. When you do so, you don't have to prove that you are the gender that you signed up under. The only way that Crossfit would know that a male or female registered for the "wrong" category would be if that athlete made it to Regionals and were tested. This athlete is mighty full of herself if he thinks that he will automatically qualify for regionals by competing in the women's category. He might but I'd be there were more women in his region better than he is even at the lower weights.

Nope, he/she should not be allowed. There is a massive advantage. Just suing because he/she feels she's being discriminated.

Just in case you don't know how hormones work.. here's an easy reminder: Hormones are substances, usually a peptide or steroid, produced by one tissue and conveyed by the bloodstream to another to affect physiological activity, such as growth or metabolism - http://mtf-hormones.com/the-biochemistry-of-gender/

Basically what this means is that when one is on hormone replacement therapy their body mass/type/tissue changes to such as the hormone they are taking for the desired sex they identify as. It's f**ing science.

The lawsuit a bit proposterous though.
