Jimmy Fallon

NBC Threatens Celebs ...

It's Fallon or the Highway

3/6/2014 8:00 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

is coming down like a hammer on celebs who want to get on Jimmy Fallon's show ... if they dare do a show on CBS or ABC ... they can forget about "The Tonight Show."

Sources connected to CBS, NBC and ABC tell TMZ ... the Peacock network believes Jimmy Fallon's ratings success gives them extreme bargaining power.  They put the word out to celebs, agents and publicists ... if they want to be on Fallon they can't appear on ANY other network ... and not just shows that go head-to-head with Jimmy, but morning shows as well.

We're told NBC is saying the stars who go on Fallon are also allowed to appear on "Today," "Dateline" and any similar shows they air, but that's it.

A GMA source tells TMZ ... they've already gotten fallout from people they were trying to book.

Fallon is dominating late night .... crushing Jimmy Kimmel by bringing in more than twice the number of viewers.

Hot Mom ...

Your mom may have been embarrassing, but could you imagine one of these moms dropping you off at school?! Pam Anderson, for example ...

From Fox 411: "Pammy is really good about attending her boys' sporting events, but she doesn't exactly fit in with the other soccer moms."

Click through to Fox 411 to see what some Hollywood kids have to deal with on a daily basis!

I like Fallon but I rather watch Jimmy. The whole feel of the show is more my cup of tea. I really don't think NBC should have that type of power, though. If they go on other shows, they don't have those limitations and they get twice, triple the exposure. I don't really see a publicist wanting to abide by those demands. A smart publicist wouldn't. Hmmm. Jimmy Fallon, 1 show for promo. David letterman, Jimmy, Conan, GMA, etc. (no limits), more publicity on the publicity tour for whTever movie/album/book.

Honestly if you have to strong-arm guess send a coming on that doesn't speak very highly of you or your show. All it shows is Fallon and or NBC is running scared of the competition and perhaps they didn't have as much faith in Fallon as a pretended to have.

It's like sending your kid to a private school, and making sure he is the, only one in the class....that way he will always place #1 and graduate as valedictorian. Looks great on the college application, but will not help him at all when he gets to college and there is real competition. Me thinks NBC does not all the faith in Fallon they pretend to have, or they would let him go to school with the other kids!

Wasn't there a scandal with Jay Leno's first producer regarding demanding that guests only appeared on that show?

Just wait till NBC/Comcast gets Eric Holder and FCC approval to buy Time Warner Cable and own 57% of the internet and cable market........payback for years of protecting this administration.

This is a little early for NBC to be going all Sopranos on other networks azzes. They should have waited for Letterman to retire, they'd own NYC without being the heavy. Will Letterman ever retire? He's long overdue.
