Bindi Irwin

Handler Whales on Photog

For Asking About SeaWorld

3/8/2014 12:33 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

030814_bindi_irwin_launch
Bindi Irwin -- the newly-minted spokesperson/tool for SeaWorld ... will gladly talk about Australian mammals, but dare to even dance around the subject of whales and you'll get shut down.

Bindi and her mom were cruising through Rockefeller Plaza in NYC when our photog asked the 15-year-old about her favorite animal.  She was all chatty until our guy switched gears and asked her if she was an animal expert ... and that's all she wrote.

The handler swooped in and shut things down, because it was clearly headed in a "Blackfish" direction.

Shame on SeaWorld ... it's so transparent -- hiding behind a teenager to do their dirty work.

That isn't a "handler". It's her mother.

Shame on Seaworld? How about shame on you for believing some bull propaganda film based on lies instead of doing actual research yourself. Idiots.

TMZ, you are known to post continuous articles on celebrities in trouble until they go to rehab/jail or just kill themselves.
Can you please do the same with Sea world? You won't get too much profit outta it, but a lot of self satisfaction when those poor animals like Tilly gets freedom.

Homeless people. Animal testing. Poaching blah blah blah.. but save the whales who get free meals and don't have to compete in the circle of life. Sorry there are worse things going on. :(

Aren't there a lot of errors in Blackfish? I won't go to a place like Seaworld, because I think it's cruel, but propaganda is still propaganda, no matter which side it's for. The truth is strong enough, tell it like it is.

This girl's mom and dad pushed her to the forefront of the family business after Animal Planet dropped them (after Steve Irwin was holding his infant son in one hand while feeding a crocodile with the other). Bindi then became the family cash cow, so it's just perfect business sense that she is now selling SeaWorld. Terry Irwin is less about her husband's "legacy" than about keeping all that revenue rolling in on a regular basis. I think SeaWorld and Bindi Irwin are a perfect pair. If you are upset over SeaWorld's treatment of whales and dolphins, don't patronize them. Same goes for the Irwin family.

FUT THE SHUCK UP

WOW WHAT A FALSE, SLANDEROUS & BIASED ARTICLE!!!

I cannot believe how many trumped up accusations TMZ just made. Even for TMZ's rock-bottom standards, this one just hits the floor.

I will be visiting and supporting Seaworld an extra time this year due to all the slander and lies they have had to endure.

That kid is already as fake as her mom. Bindi was on GMA and you could tell she was way to pumped up about Seaworld and there is no way her Dad would have allowed her to speak for a place that abuses their sea life. Guess her Mom only cares about money so she's obviously told her "speak out for the money, screw the animals". So so sad...

It's a shame she took this SeaWorld project pn with all the controversy surrounding this issue. She seems like a wonderful 15 year old girl. She couldn't sign the contract without her Mom signing, too. Poor decision as far as I'm concerned because they are using Bindi to get some good PR from the "Black Fish" fallout. I too at one time was fooled by SeaWorld. They may put a lot of money into animal conservation, but it doesn't make up for the barbaric manner they treat the Orcas.
