Man Accused of Killing Son

Arrested for Kidnapping Child's Mom

The man suspected of killing Adrian Peterson's 2-year-old son last year has been ARRESTED -- after officials say he kidnapped the child's mother and attacked her.

The suspect is 28-year-old Joseph Robert Patterson -- who was charged with murder and child abuse for allegedly beating Peterson's son Tyrese to death in October 2013.

Patterson had been free on the murder charge on $750k bond -- and was under instructions to NOT contact the child's mother or anyone else in the family.

But Patterson apparently ignored the instructions -- and kidnapped the child's mother. Cops in Sioux Falls, South Dakota say they responded to a call early Tuesday morning.

Patterson was apprehended -- and has since been charged with kidnapping, two counts of aggravated assault, interference with emergency communications and third-degree burglary.

He's due in court later today.

update_graphic_red_barThe judge set bond for Patterson at a million dollars cash. During the hearing, the Minnehaha County state's attorney said that Patterson knocked the victim unconscious and held her captive for more than an hour. He added that the victim had visible injuries on her neck.   For more sports stories, check out tmzsports.com!

Really, Really is this reality or stupidity for this animal to go at large after he kills? Am I losing my mind? What is wrong with our justice system. Don't care if he killed a football players child, he should do life for any child he kills!

What is it about our justice system that loves child killers, rapists and murderers? A traffic ticket turns into a warrant and they nail you to the wall. Second, how in the hell did this guy find $75 grand to make bail? Third, the judge needs to be shot. This woman is lucky he didn't kill her too.

If they let this guy out on bail again, I hope he runs into a few line backers in the middle of the nite. That's just crazy that he's out walking around.

How come guys like this can only be tough guys with women and children. Baby killers are not popular in prison.

Ya know...this bail bullchit is bullchit. It is the obligation of the government to ensure public safety. That is why you pay half of your lifetime earnigns in taxation. There is no public safety when you release a known offender, who has not yet been to trial. If you are going to give bail to a child killer, a million dollars is not enough. Make it 100 million, or stop marrying homosexuals in the court house, and use it for the purpose of criminal trials, so innocent offenders get a fair and speedy trial, and guilty offenders do not get released into society when they pose a danger to every citizen.
