Jeremy Meeks

I'M TOO SEXY FOR SHACKLES

Begs Judge for Designer Court Clothes

6/27/2014 9:35 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

Jeremy Meeks might be taking this "I'm a model" thing a little too seriously ... he now wants the judge to greenlight custom-fitted clothing for court ... seriously.

In new docs, filed by attorney Tai Bogan, Meeks requests, "that measures be taken so he may wear civilian clothing that is fitting for his body structure."

Apparently, dude thinks he's built like Tyson Beckford.

Clearly, Meeks thinks powerful fashion people may be watching ...  and god forbid he looks like a schlub.

He also wants the judge to let him take off the shackles in court -- "shackles can interfere with Mr. Meeks' ability to communicate with his lawyer."

That is normal for trial. Defendants get to dress in civilian clothes.... Casey Anthony, OJ.

TMZ! You put the guy on a platform just so you can knock him off? I'd rather see him get a job out of this then go to jail on tax payer dollars! Haters need to think it through. I hope the guy is blessed with an amazing opportunity to turn his life around. A very unusual spotlight op was given him. Let him wear civilian clothes and maybe he'll get a great job and get out of the gangs and make a significant contribution to our economy and support his family.

Who does this MFer think he is?! Like the final sentence on the article said: You shouldn't have gotten arrested in the first place. What is he teaching his son? Even if you end up in prison as long as your good looking, you'll get a modeling contract?! What a messed up world we live in...

Anybody can request to wear civilian clothing when in jail. Wearing a jumpsuit during proceedings can persuade judge or jury to convict. A lot of people request civilian clothes.

TMZ did the most with this post and took what he said way out of context. He said he only wanted to wear clothes. lol

Wow, that's dumb. He may have a hoard of thirsty fans, but I'd bet money that the judge isn't one of them, and this self-importance will not do him any favours when it comes to trial and sentencing. He needs to act extra humble.
