Robin Williams

In Rehab Facility

To Maintain Sobriety

Robin Williams Rehab
Robin Williams
is at a rehab facility again ...but his people tell TMZ it's NOT because he fell off the wagon.

Williams is at Hazelden Addiction Treatment Center near Lindstrom, Minnesota.

Robin is in a part of the facility called The Lodge -- there are lots of fancy descriptions, but it's essentially a program to maintain long-term sobriety.

We're told Robin will be staying for several weeks.

The pic (above) was taken Sunday at a Dairy Queen ... walking distance from Hazelden.

Robin has struggled with addiction for decades.  He cold turkeyed cocaine and alcohol in the early 1980s and was sober for 20 years ... then fell off the wagon.  He went to rehab in 2006.

Robin's rep tells TMZ, "After working back-to-back projects, Robin is simply taking the opportunity to fine-tune and focus on his continued commitment, of which he remains extremely proud."

A celebrity going to rehab for "maintenance" is akin to a celebrity going to a hospital for "exhaustion". It's a publicist term for the celeb tripping up and getting them well before the news leaks out..

I'm so proud of him, he relizes its an every day battle and sometimes you just need to get your body and brain that tune up

He's so thin. It's obvious he relapsed. Why can't people just be honest, instead of lying like we're idiots and can't SEE that these people went on a drug fueled binge?

Good luck Robin. Also, stick to the dramatic roles. Good Will Hunting, Good Morning Vietnam and Dead Poets Society were incredible.

Robin Williams is a great guy. We all have problems to deal with, whether it's from drugs, alcohol or just being an a$$hole. I wish him the best.

I'm hoping this is truly maintenance and refocusing, but even if he did relapse, it is none of our business and should not judge. At least he is taking care of it privately and staying committed vs making a public ass of him self. Stay clean Mr. Williams and good job taking care of your self and admitting you need care when you feel like you need it.

Go robin. U can do it. At least he's trying. Don't listen to the haters...they have issues of their own and hide behind social media.

He doesn't look well in the pic.....pretty thin. Wondering if there is something else going on with his health. Best of luck, though.

I love to watch him in his movies and in his act. One funny dude! But I gotta say...He looks kinda frail and down in this picture.

Go robin... get yourself well. And whether he has relapsed or not at least he can reach out and get help when he needs it. Thats more than most addicts can say.
