EXCLUSIVE

0725-desean-jackson-puppies-main-tmz-instagram-01Lookin' for an adorable puppy? Happen to be a Redskins fan? Got $1,200 laying around?  Then you can buy one of DeSean Jackson's adorable baby American bullies!

As we previously reported, Jackson is getting into the breeding business after his American Bully gave birth to 11 cute, cuddly puppies last weekend.

Jackson has teamed up with Wood Werk Kennels in Los Angeles -- and owner Josh tells TMZ Sports the NFL star's highest priority is making sure they get into good homes with good families.

We're told the pups have a pricetag of roughly $1,200 each -- due to the fact it's a rare breed that comes from good stock.

Josh tells us DeSean is super-involved and really enjoys working with the animals -- but gives the Kennel control over the sale of the dogs because ... well, DeSean already has a job.

American Bullies are far from a "rare breed." They're one of the most overbred dogs in the U.S., and the most likely to suffer abuse. He's nothing but a stupid, selfish backyard breeder.

These puppies are so sweet but please, please go to your local Humane Society, Pound, or other orphaned animal shelter and ADOPT a RESCUE. Go on line to search for ANY and ALL types of breeds. You can rescue any breed you like.

1. These are NOT "American Bulldogs"

2. There are ETHICAL breeders out there who have more than one breed type in their breeding program.

Yes there are BYBs in a variety of breed types most commonly in the American Pit Bull Terriers.

People often confuse the American Pit Bull Terrier with the American Bully. The American Bully is becoming very popular in the USA and most people lump the two together as one in the same when there are clear differences that even the average person could point out if they had a little bit of info on them.

The American Bully was started by crossing the American Pit Bull Terrier with other dogs in the bully breed family. The American Bully has become its own breed, and is not the same breed as the American Pit Bull Terrier (APBT).

One very clear difference is appearance. The American Bullies are more muscular and very broad often with larger heads and shorter legs. The American Pit Bulls are not as muscular and not as wide.

Pit Bulls are medium sized dogs weighing about 30 to 70 pounds and stand about 18 to 22 inches at the shoulders, while American Bullies are more like 70 to 120 pounds. In both breeds actual weight and height are less important than the proportion between weight and height. Weights and heights vary in both breeds, but the goal of the American Bully to be muscular and broad with a big head remains a clear difference.
